Didnt the russian dev stream say it was nivida cards only for now?
War thunder has a nivida partnership so i belive they use their tech first before spreading out to other tech

It still requires significant work, but I managed to run DirectX 12 and enable Ray Tracing on the DEV server. Initially, I was getting around 200+ FPS at 3840x2160 resolution, but with maximum Ray Tracing settings, it dropped to about 30 FPS.
I have a liquid-cooled 4090, so I didn’t expect to encounter any issues.
