I bet you 3 and 7/32 silver lions it’s Wednesday :3

Id just be fine if they delay the content until the next patch lol. Again, I think gaijin puts too much on the plate for this update, which is not supposed to be the big one. A lot of them are C&Ps but it can be said for every existing patch, and there are a lot of unique stuff especially for naval. Raytracing is probably the biggest problem, the game needs to maintain its status of being able to run any computer or not that knows how video game codes works.

I think they should delay ray tracing for next update and give us the meat but tbh I also want the next update to just be a back end update where they fix a lot of bugs, fix fundamentally issues with different game modes, and update parts of the game engine from rendering tanks and planes at further ranges and stuff like that and large scale balancing changes in both air and ground. (increasing br caps again :3)

not everybody can handle this update whit limited cpu or pc…

I couldn’t handle this update and I have a very good computer ;-; I went from averaging 150-200 fps to getting no more than 70-80 and having bad frame stutters with only changing the settings to DX12

I will be very inclined to turn on raytracing since my new PC is much better than the old one. But on the other side, I do think that gaijin is making a bit of a blunder to go with raytracing, since most people who really wants to tryhard will still run ULQ even when they have RTX4090.

Gaijin is probably working on the Chinese sub tree

Just like other games I have played that have ray tracing its really cool… for 5 seconds then you only notice it every once and awhile. The only thing I would personally care about is increasing the resolution of the mirrors in aircraft.

That is the problem. A lot of the players are based in Eastern Europe or Russia who has limited access to good gaming PC. One major reason that it was welcomed in these places is that you can still play the game on a 10-yr old PC that isnt used for half a decated in an apartment in kharkiv when there are still irl wars going around.

I HOPE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME (idk what nation tho… maybe NK? or a full Pakistan tree?)

Knowing Gaijin they will add none of those countries XD

Oh yeah my old computer was rocking a gtx 1060 and a I7-2600k and still ran the game well at medium settings

Makes sense. I still dont get the point of Pakistan however, they are either Chinese or western designs that could also be found in Taiwan.

Can you actually see distant planes in the mirrors?

I definitely think it can only be a good thing to have Raytracing and such available as an option. It’s the way gaming is headed, and it’s important to graphically keep up with competition and all that jazz.

But it does feel odd to (seemingly) delay a major update, and seemingly rush to troubleshoot it in when it’s clearly having teething problems.

They kinda backed themselves into a corner by putting out all this ‘ray tracing is coming!’ Type promotional stuff, but if it needed more time in the oven to cook, why not just put it on hold until December patch only a month away. But what do I know. I’m no dev so likely talking nonsense lol.

I didnt test it because raytracing even on the lowest settings brought me down to 20 fps :) my 3060 ti was dying

Maybe they don’t want another hot tracks…

That was a funny update lmao. Naming the update after a new feature so buggy it had to be pulled and put back in the oven haha.

At least firebirds ain’t called Hot Ray’s or something, so they could probably sweep it away a bit better.
