Uwwww shiny 🤤
Well the one in game has it’s J-MSIP and the MTDP upgrades so both are correct but MTDP is the more recent one
It was a PESA, way worse than an AESA
Tbh early AESA would slam like every radar in game except for absolute range
Im only advocating for Singapore to Israel that’s all. Japan has many options with ASEAN while Israel gets Chile (adds nothing), Turkey (politically problematic) or Singapore which brings very good additions.
Singapore would be useful for US, good spaa and F-15SG gives an opportunity for an advanced eagle that isn’t the EX which would be way farther off than the SG.
Israel has solid spaa options and has it’s own F-15
Not in WT. Actually early AESA would have worse range than current PD radars. For example the F-2s J/APG-1 had like a practical detection range of like 40 km range even though it’s max was supposedly 110 km.
That’s why I said except for range. Also since its a pretty small radar, I’d expect the an apg 63v2 on the f15c to have a better range than the other apg 63 since it’s just so much larger and most likely has more power going to it
In WT, I’d expect it it function like a PESA with a nerfed scan rate. Basically the Su-34’s radar.
Hopefully not, from what I’ve read it update so fast, it just shows a real time reading to the pilot, yes there are some millisecond delays but it is almost or totally imperceptible
Also j apg 1 might have been run on a lower power since early AESA components logically wouldn’t be as long lasting as the more modern ones and putting more power through them would likely shorten their service life
Even the F-35s radar takes multiple scans to identify all the targets in its FoV.
Plus just because you can scan it doesn’t mean there’s enough power for targeting information too. There’s a lot of caveats that I’m sure WT will simplify it for gameplay. WT isn’t a sim like DCS after all.
I’m not sure the exact issue, but I read something about interference and all that.
I have a similar situation where I have a book which covers like 95% of all Leopard variants/models.
And I have the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps book, which has some really cool stuff.
Both books have been helpful with the Canada TechTree forum :p
Got them from when I went to Tank Fest in Oshawa, Ontario
I knew I had a readon to suddenly check the RnR lol
Lmao I was wondering why that was so quick.
I was doing one final check before bed as it’s just about 10:30pm / 22:30 here
I was like oh better to check the RnR for the final time kek
Bro 😭
Seriously did our brains just snapped together there lol
Bagpiper and Deathmisser twins confirmed ? Hehe
And AN/APG-63(V)2 to USAF F-15C better J/APG-1 AESA radar ?
please @Smin1080p_WT , bless us with a friday update drop please so i can stop looking over this forsaken thread and wait for the next one which will be just as forsaken as the others.
Possibly? I wouldn’t be surprised if the research work from the J/APG-1 was transferred to the APG-63(V)2 through their agreement.
i mean they both were made at almost the same time so it mightve been two way, i doubt we will known until a while from now if/when they declassify some of the papers about it
But AN/APG-63(V)2 AESA radar to F-15C MSIP II no Pulse-Doppler (PD) mode ?
