some time this week
When a loadout options is too strong, it just gets lower.
It’s why the RMV has 2x Magic II not MICA IR
Why the Tornado Gr4 has 2x Aim-9M and not ASRAAM
Or the tornado F3 has 4x Aim-9M instead of ASRAAM.
I still have hope.
Which buff? As far as I know, energy retention was dropped each time they touched F-16 FM’s. The removal of initial the 9-11G’s limit (depending on weight) was accompanied by a major sustained turn rate nerf that wasn’t disclosed anywhere.
When the mig29G was introduced on Germany, every plane had sustained turn rate nerfed which also wasn’t disclosed. That was an overall nerf for rate-fighters.
F-16c still after the neefs was better then the mig 29g
Mig29 suffered a lot too with the turn rate nerfs. F-16 always was the better dogfighter and on top of that, almost no one played the mig29 correctly in a dogfight.
Also you can’t use takeoff flaps anymore which was the biggest nerf for the mig29 dogfight performance. Now they just refuse to deploy at speed.
9M was not even originally slated to come out with the 73, but everyone (US mains) whined so hard gaijin threw it in with the update AND nerfed the 73 to boot.
Iirc originally the F-16C didn’t even have hmd on the dev server.
I get their decision to add both. Having a plane with both better SARH missiles, better IR missiles and exclusivity to HMD doesn’t sound like the best idea.
Whined? No, rightly complained. The R-73 was and still is cracked if used by someone with any form of real intelligence. The AIM-9M is the least that should have been added with it.
it could come to the 2000D RMV today in a nerfed version since it only carries 2, the R27ET has similar long range performance and gaijin has already shown they don’t mind nerfing the IRCCM of missiles like Magic 2 until other nations catch up
this is no different than when they added the R73 to the Su25 before other jets got it, but that’s just their usual double standard
Definitely. It and the ASRAAM should have come this update (with the IRIS-T on new German and Italian Tornados, also) with nerfed IRCCMs and flight performance. This is something I’m really confused about with the Brimstone, also. Gaijin has said they’re not willing to give it FNF capabilities with its ability to track through smoke and clouds removed because it’s ahistorical, however they did an incredibly similar thing with the Magic II, which was added with significantly inferior range, power, and air resistance, and without IRCCM, and then slowly buffed over time.
I’m also concerning about that.
clicked.
Maybe they will merge these two updates
Yeah, I’m a bit torn about it.
On one hand it’d be an amazing combined ASEAN tree with all 10 ASEAN nations.
But on the other hand Japan has no subtree options outside of ASEAN and is basically dead in the future without some of these nations, especially for air.
Then there’s also the strong technical connection between Singapore and Israel, so individually Singapore might be best there. Though since we’re seeing a trend of region/alliance subtrees I doubt Singapore alone is planned for them and it’s probably some Latin American countries.
Gameplay wise I’d prefer founding ASEAN members with Japan, since there is a need that couldn’t be filled any other way, and China could still receive nations heavily aligned with them such as Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia (in addition to their non-ASEAN options), so they wouldn’t come out empty handed either.
But logically an independent full ASEAN tree is obviously nothing that can be argued against.
Singapore for Israel would also be very reasonable since the connection is stronger and they do have arguably even more gaps to fill, even if there is alternative ways to do so.
Basically Gaijin has a good amount of reasonable options they can choose from, we’ll just have to see how they decide.
Time traveller!
Huh? Is the dev open again?
bruh 9GBs
