Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Looks as if someone mixed Eurofighter, F-18 and F-15 together

Even you picture shows it would have horizontal elevators.
P.110 clearly lack them.

yea

my guy, that picture isnt once mentioned in that thread, the image I posted has nothing to do with the SAIA 90 project

its of the P.110, I have several secondary sources and multiple people who can back up my claim

yeah, while the pic inside the link is literally the P.110 and not the one he posted after the link

Yea, whoever put that pucture just took a quick look, said they look the same (they dont) and added it.

the SAIA 90s pics are all digitally made and the only mock up it shows is indeed the P.110, also that’s a Blogspot link, quite unreliable and can be subject to mistakes

that is exactly what we are refering to, all SAIA 90 pics are 3D and digital, the mockup pic was taken from another jet from the UK

Oops, wrong picture

also @x-GeeNo_MS-x hate to burst your bubble, but this is in the SPF thread you posted

seems like it never existed…

it was cancelled, never produced, not even a mockup exists of the plane sadly, an ambitious project that Argentina couldnt handle

yeah it was my mistake i confused the planes and projects

no but its an urban myth apparently, about as real as something WoT could come up with

all the illustrations of it come from completely different projects, its explained in the thread by the user Erdosain

PL-12AE is confirmed by AVIC to be greater or equal to 120km of range. Gaijin can add that as a stopgap before PL-15 is added.

Also the stupid PL11AE which caused me great confusions, where on earth does it look like Aspide?

PLAAF naming scheme is getting more and more strange.

I mean I guess it could be just that it uses same propelling, although that said, I do kinda get it, Aspide’s burst is quite strong, nice for sort of 10km IR missiles.

So it will be similar in use to R-27ET?

Probably but with an IR seeker that is a lot better, after all it is 2024 now, PL5EII style IRCCM could be a lot more advantageous than normal fov reduction especially at longer range.
