Best I can do is multiple SAMs, as in Japan, where I use both Type 81 (C) and Type 93!
So when revenge C*S spawnkills one of them, I can revenge-SAM them back with the other.
When it comes to CAP, the SP cost is just not worth it… so expensive! Besides, the only two nations where I have Top Tier planes are U.S and Germany, no other- and since I’m not much of a plane person except for Top Tier, I am not willing to grind any other tree either anyway hahah, which is another reason why I don’t even consider using CAS with them- both as a matter of principle and as a matter of viability.
I see no chivalry in ground I play CAS if I have the mind to do so. I only go for undamaged, player aircraft not bombing a base in ARB, especially in props, but for ground? It sucks down there, aint it.
Eh, I tend to have a CAP option (if you’re any good in props, a decent premium can farm atm at ~4.7-5.3), and sometimes a cas aircraft that just doesn’t work very well in AirRB (Buccaneers or 1st gen harriers for example), or for dealing with spawn campers.

In lower tiers, I have no issue using all sorts of planes indeed, since I have in most nations at least up to Rank III-IV and I find them to be more balanced and not as dishonourable as in Top Tier; so I use stuff like BF-110, IL-8, F-6Fs, P-40s, etc.
On 13.0 to the Harrier’s. Just for fun

Yeah same here.
No matter what my personal view on CAS is, I still try my utmost to help my team to victory. If that involves dropping 2000lb bombs and Zunis on some unfortunate victims, then may god have mercy on their souls XD
I think most people would absolutely bomb you in return if given the chance, so that’s why I don’t feel too bad about it.
One bomb you dropped on the enemy meant potentially one less bomb on your teams head.
Hah, we’re opposities then, can’t stand anything 10.7 or higher. Atm doing a lot of 9.7 Japan (Kinda excited for the incoming AV-8S, should slot right in minus the issues with Harriers and being able to flare anything), 8.3/.7 & 9.7 Britain for the Buccaneers and the Harrier GR3 (probably end up doing a lot of 8.7/9.7 for the Scimitar when the update drops), I’m working on Italy at 8.0 with the prem M60 & the 60mm Aubl, finally I’ve be really enjoying the M41A3, although I’ve have to fill my other 4 slots in that line up with CAP and SPAA lmao.
At least 240 flares for AV-8S vs the 60 on the GR3 and none on the GR1 should help mitigate those issues a little.
To be completely honest I don’t think I’ve defeated any missile in my GR3 recently with flares, always end up having to try and defeat it entirely kinematically, even using up all 60 doesn’t help. So I don’t really think it’ll help much. Hopefully on release it’ll get its propper RWR (The Spanish upgraded them with Sky Guardian 200s before they where eventually sold off to the Thai) which imo would be more helpful.
