I had hoped the same but I can see why they left it out for now. Disappointing but understandable.
At 13.7 or after some more decompression 2 MICA IR likely would not be gamebreaking. It wiuld likely have some limits regarding tracking range etc. be it due to balance or limitations in the game.
There’s nothing left after MICA-IR for France. If you were to add it now gimped you would affect many future and current vehicles that could get this missile. Just imagine Rafale with gimped MICA-IR against EFT with IRIS-T or F-15IA with Python 5. Also consider that we haven’t even received Python 4 yet.
Mirage 2000D RMV will be in a much better place with Magic 2 than with MICA-IR.
Following this logic, we shouldn’t have magic 2 as it is gimped. Implementing these types of missiles on attackers with limited aams is a significantly easier way to see if they’re balanced or not. It would also make it easier to get the game ready for these types of missiles.
Especially if they plan on bringing these aircraft in within the next 6 months. Significantly better to start early.
If we were to do that 5F would lose a lot of its features. 6 missles max, only outer Magic 2, no A2G at all, no HMD… it would fall behind top tier meta.
From what I’ve read, it would have HMD. The missile count would still be workable, and killing off the ground ordnance is literally what I am suggesting to make 2000D RMV half worth using. Doubt that would be a popular change, but I’ve not been particularly in favour of the 5F’s air to ground ordnance.
Fair egnuth, however that was not how it was said, altho you can say that israel havent realy ever had a toptier SPAA dependent on how you look at it, i would tho rather say that israel does realy lack a 12.0-11.0 SPAA
