Besides, there’s one thing they have been very active about avoiding, which is present day politics. Adding ASEAN under China is a bit too on the nose for Gaijin.

What abt it makes it seem like it wasn’t planned for this update to you ? As far as I can see, the premium one was added to the files first and then they announced a techtree one would be coming alongside it - nothing abt it not being planned or planned for later.
Maybe for the 2000D RMV? Seeing as that is also already getting the GBU-49/B iirc.
While I like US, I would never pay over 100€ for a premium. I rather wait for Ace Combat 8 by then.
yeah there was a bug report for the gbu 49 and 50 for the mirage 2000 rmv so most likely will end up there.

They literally moved premium one into the techtree and added another premium one (with squadron specific skin) instead. Seems like sudden unplanned change to me
Is there a plan to add mica ir for the new mirage RMV ? or at least low its br to under <12.7 as a plane with only 2 magic II wont be that usefull this high.
Also any news on new weaponry for it ? i’ll just take a mirage 5F over that as its just better

edit: Been changed since the last time I looked. I guess its BR hasnt been updated yet. As GR4 doesnt have ASRAAM, Im guessing RMV will be at 12.3-12.7

It could never carry it irl, neither the radar to use them.
IRL it has MICA NG which are MICA IR upgraded version. (and only two of them, they are defensive weapon because its a cas aircraft)
But rn, it does not looks like MICA IR are even planned.
Its still dev server so i believe the BR will be lower, but i hope the AIR br will be 12.7 or 12.3 (like the 2000DR1) because it has only 2 magic II.
Due to Britain tax, im doubting it will go below 12.3. Its a real shame, especially in Sim. But alas. thats what we have to put up with
When I looked 2 days ago, it had 6x MICA EMs so obviously was a placeholder loadout.
These long ranged IR missiles are tough to balance. Like the GR4 essentially only ever used ASRAAM but has Aim-9Ms as the GR1 had Aim-9Ms.
Its tricky. whats better 12.0/12.3 with IRCCM or 13.3 with Gen 5 IR.
Im guessing maybe 12.3. Looks overall identical to the D-R1, its whether HMS + Magic II = 12.7 worthy

That’s fair. I’d like to see the F-16E bl 60 with AIM-9X bl 1s and AIM-120C-5s and F-16V bl 70 with AIM-9X bl 2s and AIM-120C-8/Ds, but that’s all subjective.
