the MFG got the Naval mode (bugged tho) because the Komorans need it to function
@Smin1080p_WT Could you share the source the developers used for this report? Because unless Germany has a time machine it’s completely impossible for an ASSTA 1 standard Tornado to use an LJDAM.

Then why name it after the tornados used by a testing site for weaponry on aircraft?
Problem with that is a) it’s unconfirmed/disputed (QRH Twitter stated it was a 1500bhp engine, but a Minister’s Question makes out that it is 1200bhp) and b) there are well known cooling issues that currently preclude 1500bhp output.
Sure, but in the end the Kormoran still workd like shit
The two don’t need to be separated? It can be a Pre-ASSTA Tornado and also be from a famous test squadron with some awesome looking paint schemes.
this testing unit test anything and everything the Luftwaffe could adopt and they definitely tested the Tornados in prototype config too
Yes, but the WTD61 variant has it too instead of just the tracking radar used by the other Tornados, because its a carbon copy of the MFG Tornado with a different skin and the Kormorans removed
ASSTA 1 ~2000
ASSTA 2 ~2007/9
ASSTA 3 ~2012
ASSTA 3.1 ~2018
LJDAM test were around 2008/9 so how can the ASSTA 1 use it?
(Dont quote me on the year, not 100%)
I am fully aware, however I have no Idea what you want to tell me with that
2000 according to Panavia
because it’s just a software thing and WTD-61 tested everything on their ASSTA-1 Tornado
they always use older aircraft for their tests, they’re still using one of the Eurofighter’s pre-Production airframes to do all testing for new equipment
The PA7 afaik is the Eurofighter they are using for tests right now
I don’t have all sources, however the Devs found several evidences of Pre-ASSTA 3.0/3.1s testing and dropping JDAMs. So based on this, it’s possible to give ASSTA 1.0 in game JDAMs.
Also, some of the ASSTA 1s were found to have a GPS receiver antenna: Laser JDAM Qualified on German Tornados
IPA then, I’m unsure if they have IPA 6 or IPA 7
but it’s definitely a Pre-Trance 1 Airframe
and it’s the better option really
one less tornado to add with no capability lost
Do the devs know that between ASSTA 1 and ASSTA 3 is ASSTA 2?
This article doesn’t state ASSTA 2.0, but if you have direct evidence to prove those in test were ASSTA 2.0 (directly stated, not just dates) then you can submit a suggestion report to simply rename the new module to “ASSTA 2.0” like how Jaguar GR.1A has a GR.1B module.
ASSTA 2 also involves a new RWR
Indeed. We already have other aircraft with similar upgrade modules.
