However that game also features many ships we can reasonably expect to appear here before Yamato does, so it 's the same effect in the end.

We have no idea, I’m just saying that it’s possible and trying to be optimistic.
From the leak it looks like their Squadron 2A4 was scrapped for this update specifically, since it was explicitly crossed out. Any further implications are just guesses or hopes.
Of course not, that’s stupid. This would be limited to at most the founding members (or just some of them), being Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. It’s just quicker to write ASEAN than explain all that.
Nations like Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia should probably actually go to China as subtrees instead.
Or just make them all subtrees of neither and make an ASEAN independent tree, though that leaves Japan without subtree.
Thailand can help, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say solve. There would still be considerable gaps, most notably guided CAS, which Thailand doesn’t exactly have a lot of either.
Compare that to existing multi national subtrees for other nations like France or Britain, both of which already being a lot more future froof than Japan on their own, and it does become apparent that ideally Japan would also receive some form of multi national subtree.
Still, I agree that ASEAN as a whole shouldn’t be a subtree at all. If they want to keep the 10 ASEAN nations together then it should be an independent tree.

No its not like thats why we want ASEAN we want ASEAN because it makes sense, if France got BeNeLux why cant we get ASEAN? Sure we dont need all the nations because some dont make sense for Japan but all the ones who do and train with Japan only make sense going to Japan

If they wanted to add a single tree that would help the most I think the only 2 in that case would be Singapore or Indonesia. If I’m not mistaken those 2 have the larger military with a good mix of vehicles compared to the others. But still likely wouldn’t solve everything in the end.

Which is exactly why ASEAN makes sense because it will in the end whether everyone agrees or not will fix all of our gaps and problems from WW2 to Modern
And funny enough if we cant get any ASEAN nations South Korea is our only other option which I wouldnt mind but im sure a lot would

Yeah that is a bit hopeful considering we now how low value that is for gaijin to do. When was the first sub tree added to the game ?
Let’s not forget the alternatives if we can’t add a sub for Japan, more fakes like the F-14, Tornados, AV-8’s, Harriers ect to Japan.
