Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

It is still going to be alot harder for the type 81 c with reduced thermal to find and kill so it defeats japans top tier spaa. It defats italy and israles top tier spaa to. Is there a chance all three nations could shot it down yeah with alot of luck and not to bright pilot sure. And considering these three nations have to relay on who they are teamed up with and sometimes there is no one doing spaa. So the f-117 despite lacking alot of things can and will be hard to kill and defend against for three nations. Bercause gaijin has simply buried its head in the sand concering top tier air to counter cas for several nations

I would say the major is the lack of credible spaa for japan. Ifvs have been added wheeled and with out atgms and rather large. And japan still lacks and smart ordance for its fighters. Japan is highly realiant on its team to provide spaa because the type 81 is again mainly capable of getting kills by luck. no matter if you give it better missles it main problem is detecting threats to itself and that it literally has no ground defense for itself so its entire job is air and its already crippled in game

i’m sorry?
14km is too far? in the game of CAS that can sling AGM-65(except A and B) and Kh-38ML at 12km is too far?

I honesty doubht jappan will get SEA and like you said its not going to really help the problem. It might give japan a few more tanks to die in top tier but nothing much, But with stealth now in game even limited it is becoming more and more evident that gaijin willl keep adding more and more advance fighters the type 81 c cant handle the otomatic cant handle and the charppel cant handle

Which I agree with. China has plenty of stuff left to add, and they keep pumping out new stuff. Like, Zhuhai’s soon, we certainly will see new things. I’m not asking for ASEAN stuff to be added to China, don’t get me wrong here. It is unnecessary.

Japan does lack some stuff, but that is mainly CAS aircraft and SPAA. For latter, they have their own option in form of the ARH Type 11. Earlier can be solved with a single nation, from which they received an aircraft from in this dev server (wink). I find no reason at all to cramp the entirety of the available aircraft/vehicles of ASEAN nations into Japanese tech tree. And I am tired of how people keep advocating for it like it is absolutely necessary.

That I see as the only actual, and major problem. At most they can receive JDAM’s on the F-2, without a sub-tree. Unless Gaijin wants to do some magic on their AShM’s and give them the ability to target ground targets… which I doubt. So Thai F-16’s and Gripen will certainly help there.

SPAA, if they do the Type 11 right, will help them for a while.

On the bright side the Type 81 will have something most other sams dont have and that is being able to use two different type of missiles IR/Radar

Welll I think its because gaijin has refuse to put in things like the chu mpm for years

Yeah thats great if you can eyeball the target. Again finding the fast moving jet or helicopter is the issue.

too far for it’s rocket. it will slide like a GBU after about 7km, no mobility

It is one of the few spaa systems that had to be added in a crippled state without a radar trailer. But had to be added because gaijin knew japaan type 93 and 87 simply were unable to do anything.

Yes im aware but unless they model a seperate radar vehicle or simply give it radar for no reason other then balance idk what to say.

The type 11 will be crippled to because it also has a radar trailer it needs that to even perform on par with adats or pantsirs or top tier spaa

or just like @MAUSWAFFE said. gaijin just made up the motor of the missile with the seeker head of the IR instead of the ARH?

I do think without adding an adats to japan or something giving the type 81 c and possible type 11 the ability to share radars with a radar equipped sam unit on its team is viablke but would require team work etc. Or you could just say they have the radar on the single vehicle

Your only looking at air and not the whole picture.

Thailand will help with CAS yes but not completely. Gaijin is adding more and more stronger forms of CAS that not even Thailand will add to Japan…where some of those other nations can further closing the gap. Then there is GF where the main issue is SPAA and SAMs again which Thailand can not really help in that category. We also already technically have a multi nation subtree so idk why Japan can’t?
