Although I will say pretty much every nation except Russia for the most part needs a new SPAA. Especially Italy. And I’d say I’m a Japan main, but playing the OTOMATIC trying to shoot down SM3s and F-16s is a joke

I think France and Sweden can hold out for a bit if needed as the ItO is strong
The Flakrakrad is decent but not ItO level
Japan has an amazing shorad but could use a sub nation first

Sure but considering your turret is the size a small shed and the gun breach is so large it’s usable but not exactly great at it. Plus you’re limited to only 12 rounds iirc
Ehh I would still say it is more usuable then the highly situational and limited type 81
The problem with the type 81 is purely an anti air unit but lacks the critical radar to find said air. So taking it out you have to be trying to kill air or you are literally a free kill for any gounnd.
I mean fair but at the end of the day if the team is doing so bad that you in an SPAA has to fight tanks, it’s already a done match. No SPAA is excellent at dealing with tanks frontally (barring the obvious WZ305, ZSU 57-2, etc)

I don’t find the lack of radar to be all that big of a problem, it’s more annoying trying to kill Tiger UHTs and such.

or if you team just said f the anti air and you are slaughter over and over by air because no one on your team is doing it
It is when you are looking for jets that have some intelligence
I find lack of radar annoying against eurocopters and certain planes with F&F

I know the ADATS can be used as an ATGM launcher…but it has such bad performance for that (slow, huge profile, cant avoid exposing itself entirely) and the missiles rarely reliably pen tanks at top tier. that its basically meaningless. If it was 10.7 then maybe I’d agree. But at 11.7 it’s mostly irrelevant and useful only for worse case scenario…I would not be relying on the ADATS to replace an MBT or IFV. I’d rather run something else for that…heck even the DW is probably better for that

Well at that point either some players are in jets or it’s a case of the team losing, either way top tier AA is not all that useful to begin with, my best “AA” for Japan if I’m tired of CAS is the 15JM. Only downside is after you deal with the CAS the JM is entirely useless since Japans F-15s don’t have any smart weapons

I main want the adats for beyond visual range air kills or to find that helicopter lobbing missles or the semi intelligent fighter that doesnt fly in a straight line

You won’t see any. It’s fine. Why any would use the F-117 at top tier instead of F16C or F15E is beyond me and I don’t know why you are worrying about it. I’m concerned about them slightly in my Stormer HVM at 10.7 but not at 11.7
