Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

There already done that giving top tier tanks and planes to only a few nations
and screwing everyone else THE LEO2a7 being the biggest example of this or the f-15 and f-14 and f-16s

All of these have destroyed meta. So I really dont see how giving japan the yamato in a not well played game mode will actually be any worse.

Japan having sparse lineups in other areas of the game is not a valid excuse to give them complete, total and incontestable dominance in naval.

And why do you think it’s not there? That’s one. Two - why should it be there? Dogfights ended IRL in the late 80s, they should end in the game at some BR level. 12.0-13.0, in my opinion, is the range where dogfights should end and the ranged meta should begin.
“Fours” are good at dogfighting, but it’s an extreme measure. Like a bayonet for an infantryman. Like in the joke - “to use a bayonet knife, you must lose your machine gun, pistol, not find a stone, but find another fool who has gone through the same path.”

They did it GERMANY IN GROUND WITH THE LEO 2a5 6 7

If that’s the case then I’m very excited to see what we gonna get

Its the simply lack of top tier missiles and planes for all nations.

They did in air with the f-14 15 and 16

If we’re getting Bismarck then US should get WW2 era fast BB, Japan probably gonna getting modernised Nagato(it was in the leak list)

But NO to Japan getting that domaince IN NAVAL

This is legitimately incomparable.

Yamato is the strongest battleship ever put to sea. Even when all the other countries have their best stuff, Yamato would still be better. Adding Yamato before everyone else gets their best stuff would be extremely unfair.

it is precisely comporable

Yamato vs Scharnhorst would be like Type-10 vs a PzIII.

It’s not comparable whatsoever.

Or like a type 10 vs a leo 2a7

The type 10 which knowingly nerfed and the leo 2a7 is still the most broken mbt. But yeah giving japan the yamato in naval is SO SO Much worse.

If you legitimately believe Scharnhorst vs Yamato would be a fair fight then you’re beyond reasoning with.

If you believe it is any less reasonable then adding multipe top tier leos to one nation no credible air and the inclusion of faster and more deadly jets and you think this is unfair your kidding yourself

The yamato would be powerful BUT NO MORE THEN A LEO 2 whatever is in ground or a f-14 yeeting phoenixs at you

Honestly, and I don’t mean this disrespectfully, but you’d have to be legitimately clueless about ships to not understand the difference here.

A skilled Type-10 player can still easily destroy a 2A7.

In Naval, skill is hardly a factor. It’s often just a case of biggest guns and armour = win. And Yamato has, by a considerable margin, the best of both of those.

It depends where they stored ammunition on Yamato? Guns will have the worst dispersion… you can be sure about that.
And you won’t be able to angle it effectively because of angled plates(tiger 1p situation)
Also it’s all or nothing armor, so no plates behind the main belt.

And there gonna be a lot dangerous guns. So I don’t think Yamato will be that good. Should be a solid ship, but not OP.
