There is still a bit, but not really a lot without subtrees.
For air especially there’s a few more airframes in the F-2 and F-35, and possibly some unfinished prototypes or maritime patrol aircraft. Then there’s an F-15 variant with IRST and in the future the F-15JSI.
That’s it essentially.
For ground it’s a similar story. There’s still stuff left, but most are minor variants or vehicles that only fill roles already filled in game. Notable exceptions of course being things like the MMPM, Type 11 SAM or CCV.
But yeah, without ASEAN subtree we’re looking at a lot of gaps.
Mentioned them as maritime patrol aircraft. In my opinion these would be a perfect continuation of a bomber line for Japan, since bombers don’t really exist past rank 4 anyways.
Sadly Gaijin don’t seem to think so, but I hope that could change at some point
I still dont understand right, the Ostwind-II, Russian bluewater, R2Y2’S, etc… were all partially build.
Then why cant we get the O-I heavy tank and G10N1 Fugaku.
These were both partially build - with more O-I documents popping up showing it was build - yet we don’t see them.
With the O-I being the only Japanese heavy tank above rank III which should go to the TT.
And the G10N1 being a slightly better TU-4/B-29.
I don’t think those are a good example, considering most of them don’t really count as even partially built. iirc only the engines were built, which doesn’t exactly seem like what’s needed for 3 different variants. Gaijin also confirmed they plan to remove them once replacements are found, so either all are removed at some point, or only the V1 stays (since engines were built and that would count as unfinished prototype).
By itself both the O-I and G10N are fine as unfinished prototypes by Gaijins suggestion rules, but are obviously only added when they feel like it which is very unpredictable.
The only thing I dislike is how arbitrary their process is. If it was a clear cut line like “vehicle specific parts built” is for suggestion rules then it’d be great, but then they deny the O-I that had an incomplete but running prototype and add their fictional F-16AJ…
I meant it more like the ship just has to be laid down instead of fully build. Dont know how gaijin would handle ordered vehicles but it’s probably not enough see su-27s ordered by east germany
