Yes, as we previously explained it was decided based on balance considerations to launch the aircraft initially with it’s standard operational load of 9 Brimstones + a targeting pod.
The test loadout or 18 was done with the original variant of Brimstone that was not dual mode and thus had no SAL guidance. So it didn’t need a pod. The variant in game always needs a pod for its mode of operation, meaning the max could only ever be 15 if the wing stations were used for dual modes too.
Rright now, as I said above, the aircraft is planned to be launched with it’s standard operational load. Once there has been some time to review things, it’s possible the Devs will review the experimental wing stores later.
Instead of getting their air-to-surface missiles on the J-10, China is being given a clone of the Mirage 2000, which does not carry air-to-surface weapons at all.
Currently yes, it’s where it’s intended to be with the other single engine light fighters. As more vehicles appear, it’s possible things may be reviewed and adjusted, but right now it doesn’t interfere with the attacker line or the “heavy” twin engine fighter line.
Hey @Smin1080p_WT , I apologize for the second ping, but could I get an answer regarding this (in the post to which I’m replying)? You may have not seen this one, as it was posted when you were offline…
well if anything I would like to at least push out the suggestion that future additions be considered, namely the fact the 3 column structure worked for early china but in the modern to cold war era the PLAAF expanded drastically.
So a 4th column starting as early as rank 7 maybe with a J-7 and J-8 split, would work. this would also allow room to add more variants of the J-7 (a plane that has been modernized substantially but adding those variants could clog the current line)
