then why did Sweden get things like the VIDAR before an M109A1? like I dont get that reasoning when we have had more advanced things added before the less advanced vics and if that was really the care then we should have gotten Abbot as it was in service before the M109A1 by almost 10 years, not to mention we got the G6 before the M109A1 and that came after the M109A1 by over 10 years

Probably because Sweden didn’t operate M109 and has its own platforms and SPGs across the tree already?
VIDAR was a premium to add a unique SPG to the Swedish tree.
Britain received its M109 at the same time as everyone else. If it wasn’t added, another platform would not have come that update instead. Rather there would just have been people asking in that same Rumour Roundup topic “where is the British M109 if everyone else gets theirs?”.

Whilst I don’t have major issues with the M109, it was actually operated by britain at the very least. it’s a shame it was an M109 focused update instead of a 155mm SPH update…seeing things like the Phz 2000, AS-90, etc being added. With M109 coming down the line in the future. Just felt like a bit of “cheap” update. Adding essentially the same sph to most nations and iirc that update added virtually no aircraft either.

Could have seen the archer. Wouldn’t have been very good, but would have been cool.
again im not saying that it replaced anything when it came, im just saying the reason given of it was the logical step doesnt make sense
no but the nation it was added from (norway) did operate the M109A1, also I think I speak for a lot of people when I say the VIDAR was added way to early, those things ruined lobbies for months
At the moment, Norway is only within Sweden via Premium vehicles etc.
A premium M109 would not have had the same level of interest or purpose as the VIDAR for the tree. M109s are better suited for the standard tech tree.

Not really since it can gauge wither or not people would be interested in buying South Korean vehicles without adding SK vehicles, if you know what I mean.

In the name of the whole UK community, I have to apologize for a few chaps who are running wild here for a few days (weeks?).
Sadly we are having a tea shortage, forcing us to dose it to everone. Most are taking it well, but some are having severe withdrawal symptoms. We are yet to contain them, so please bear with them for a few more weeks, while the tea is growing back.
