Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Sky guardians teaser was 23th of february 2023 and the stream was 25th of february 2023.

Because the 24th of february 2023 was the one year anniversary of a certain invasion happening in europe.

That’s what i mean by the " some of the last" :p

Im still suprised they didnt use any helicopters from Norway or Finland. Same fro squad vehicles.

I work daily with teams in Australia and the US (from CEST) and still make the weirdest calculations sometimes. Humans simply have difficulties with this.

The vectoring engines on the 30SM are going to make everyone very $@^&* when in close with HOBS XD man I hope we get it for Christmas :) but prob shouldn’t get my hopes up :(

Imperial units, right?

Truth. Honestly though, it’s worth it after that thing’s horrendous modification grind.

I think the F117A is going to be the first Squadron Vehicle i will get early with GE, i said i would never do it, but damn i wanna get my hands on it, i will test fly it first and then make my decision.

It’s not going to be a hugely impactful vehicle in the grand scheme if things but may be very easy to grind out in ground.
Surely the AESA of the Pantysir won’t detect it, SURELY )))))))

I thought about this but I’m afraid I’ll regret it. I don’t play ground though so for me it would be just a gimmick in Sim EC.

I’m hoping there will be the mentioned test fly improvements this patch.

I mean, noone in their right mind will use the 36s, the 38s will likely still be meta for soviet CAS.
Unless ofc we talk about spawn sitting SPAA that just doesn’t move an inch ))))

of course, but who said the su34 is getting them?

groms are gps guided, they wont be op, but they do have cruise missile capability which i wonder how itll work

gaijin is using this patch as a test bed

f117 is stealth
grom is cruise missile capability
patriot is medium range sam

It should, shouldn’t it? I believe they are using the same pylons and since the 34 has it’s own designation system it can defo use them

All of those would certainly give an interesting twist to Sim EC. Maybe those could appear as SEAD objectives. Very deadly and close off a large portion of the map until someone takes them out (with adequate rewards). Would also be an interesting reason to bring more than just the air-to-air jet in a line up incase som SAMs pop up.

The F-15 will carry 20 GBU39B’s
The weapon system is capable of standoff ranges in excess of 40 nautical miles. These are only 250lb bombs.

I mean, for SEAD stuff I’m more shocked we’re not getting AGM-45/88 and the KH-27 on existing platforms

We might in due time. The teaser didn’t show any specific SEAD stuff going on so maybe not yet. Maybe carefully add patriots and see how players deal with it using existing weaponry 😂

Ye but if they’re starting with patriots it doesn’t make sense how the S-75 and Hawk aren’t a thing before that… Would honestly be a better starting point for most things

It should be a AI model, but not sure how gaijin will use it. put it in ARB map? or around Airport?

True, could also be just a trailer using a WIP asset that’ll come much much later.
I suppose we’ll see. I wouldn’t mind either way. Anything to spice things up is good for me.
It would be a good thing to use the F-117 for
