The most significant improvement by ray tracing is the water reflection.without ray tracing, water cannot reflects things that aren’t in your screen.
Reflections… oh! working mirrors, please.
For ground at least. I think the are modelled in air, but if not they need them too.
So… Finally an upgrade mainly toward navy? :p
Because the US (and Russia) have the largest playerbases, and usually their stuff can go into multiple trees because of how much they export, so it’s really easy for Gaijin to justify adding in at least one variant of an already implemented vehicle each update to keep the majority of the playbase on the grind.
Germany should never get an F-15, at that point Gaijin would, and should give them an Argentinian F-16.
I feel it’s a bit more complicated then just that. While, yes, the minor nations getting more shit would help them, there are a few factors that mean that the US will always have the bigger playerbase, notably having one of the largest populations, most of which has a lot of disposable income, and chances are, most of them are going to main the US. The US also has hands down the greatest number of iconic aircraft, as well as the most iconic aircraft. That’s not to say that other nations don’t have iconic or good aircraft, but it is really hard to compete for iconicity when the US is the biggest source of media and entertainment in the world, and what is probably the second (Japan) uses a lot of US kit, especially when it comes to aircraft. It doesn’t matter how fleshed out GB’s tech tree is if everyone wants to LARP as Tom Cruise or fly what is widely considered the greatest air superiority fighter artificed by man.
This all isn’t to say that the minor nations not getting as many toys doesn’t contribute to the problem, but it isn’t the sole issue people seem to make it out to be.
If they aren’t going to give Germany something one of their subtrees, like Switzerland or Argentina, used, there is no way they are going to give Germany an F-15G or what have you, especially as Germany’s air situation is nowhere near as bad as Japan’s was at the time.
If Gaijin finally fixes shell rooms, I will personally travel to their HQ to give each and every single one of the devs a herculean kiss in the face.
The mismodelling of these has such negative impact on gameplay across so many vessels…
Neither has a sub tree, and Argentina isn’t a sub nation of Germany.
If India is a subtree for Britain, then Switzerland and Argentina are for Germany, at least enough so that something like an Argentinian F-16 or Swiss Hornet aren’t unreasonable.
What’s the problem with shell rooms?
India isn’t a sub tree of Britain. Gaijin not knowing the difference between a subordination of a tree and a nation doesn’t make India have a sub tree.
As for Argentina, it has been directly and explicitly stated that Argentina is not a sub nation of Germany.
I remember Gaijin saying the other way
It is a sub nation.
Basically, they shouldn’t detonate upon impact; and even less so as easily as they currently do (all it takes is a single hit)… and even less so with such catastrophic results (one-hit death or, best case scenario, your entire ammo storage is depleted after causing significant crew, module and buoyancy damages).
For the record- do not confuse shell rooms with magazines! Magazines are fine as of now. It’s the shell rooms that are mismodelled.
I have hard time seeing the difference ingame.
A sub tree is a subordination of tree (a line). A sub nation is a subordination of a nation (a dependent nation).
Cool if they work on that, French ammorack are probably the worst: big, not protected and all…
Would be a big plus if a hit inside don’t mean kaboom :p
Sub-Tree, think South Africa, with a full line in the ground and vehicles scattered about.
Sub-Nation, think india, with only a small selection vehicles, all premiums, events and SQVs. None on the TT
Ok but that’s a really ‘small’ differences.
If Gaijin incorpored the vehicles from SA but put them whatever where they want, it’s not a subTT but a subNation but don’t change anything except location of the vehicles.
It is and it isnt.
Let me put it this way. If India was a Sub-TT. I would expect we would eventually get the Rafale. As a Sub-Nation, we shouldnt and hopefully also wont get any of the really bad soviet C&Ps on our actual TT. Instead just a select few premiums here or there
But even if that’s the case, a subTT or subNation don’t mean ALL vehicles from them gonna come in the game, Smin already said something like that.
Last I recall, Gaijin has things to the opposite effect.
And yet India isn’t despite Gaijin saying things to the contrary? Regardless, an Argentinian F-16 for Germany would make far more sense then a fictional German F-15.
