Differentiating between “nation” and “tree”, two entirely different words with not even remotely similar meanings, is not semantics. A sub nation and a sub tree are wholly different things.

You say that, and I don’t recall ever hearing anyone call India, or any country for that matter, a sub nation. All discourse I’ve had regarding the tree or nation or jamboree, or what have you has referred to it as a subtree.
And this all means Germany can’t get an Argentinian into their tech tree why exactly? Germany already has a ton of Argentinian vehicles in their tech tree as it is, them getting one of their F-16s to fill a gap isn’t out of left field.

If it’s not a subtree (I have no recollection of ever hearing the term subnation before, and you saying that Gaijin doesn’t know the difference between a subordination of a tree and a nation implies this is an unofficial term they don’t even use, so I will not adopt your semantical term), what is it exactly then? It’s certainly something, and I fail to see why that somehow means that an Argentinian F-16 for Germany is somehow unreasonable.
Yet they are operated by Argentina according to the vehicle cards. It doesn’t matter how much Germany collaborated on the project if the vehicles were never put into German service, and Gaijin seems to agree, otherwise they wouldn’t be put under the Argentinian flag in their stat cards.
Because if it isn’t a subtree, what is it then? It’s clearly something, otherwise they would not be listed as under Argentinian operation.
