Mk4 has a filter upgrade compared to Mk3. And Mk4 also got extra weapons capabilities. They are not the same.
“The Superhind Mk.III was intended for export, ATE would go on to develop the Mk.IV with further improved avionics, weapon options and additional packages including air filters; and the Mk.V with a completely redesigned cockpit and canopy.”
Maybe, if they were referencing Repulse they should have used twin engine fighters, as Force Z was attacked explicitly by only twin engine aircraft (G4Ms), but maybe thats my slightly obsessive attention to detail.
I would certainly not complain if we got a modernised version of these or a KGV to just be the all-in-all and push naval into the next era.
It would be if the Brimstones were FnF, but because of the illogical reasoning used to nerf them into oblivion, the GR.4 is instead going to be barely better than what Britain already has.
Hope these and the new runways are in, dang they look so nice…finally rearming wont be a DEATH sentence XD This would also be a amazing objective to KO the enemy team SAM cover :)
If you can spam them off to blanket a cap/spawn zone, I can see them wrecking a lot of the thinner skinned SPAA systems/lights.
If you decide to use it with a buddy or 2… and say, 1 or 2 of you spam them out, flooding radars with these lil sods while a “real ground attack plane” comes in with proper weapons using them as cover? That could be pretty meme too. Afterall, Pantsir cant fire at you if its too busy wondering what the hell is going on with all the micro bombs.
I don’t know what to think of the Patriots making an appearance in the trailer. They are just way way stronger than the Pantsir to be a viable option for ground RB. Possibly for air RB but even then the certain death bubble is insanely huge (compared to the current Rolands)
Yeah they are great to flood radars (will probably be fun to troll pantsirs that way), but with ~30kg of tnt equivalent it’s not really going to damage a lot of vehicles. You pretty much need a direct hit to kill stuff.
Assuming we get the normal gps guided ones that don’t track moving targets.
