Tunguska wasn’t enough, and American CAS specifically (like A-6 TRAM) as well as others since the Pantsir would’ve just sh*t all over the Tunguska the way they’re played now.
The nerf to bomb release speeds was nice, as it makes things a little more fair, but the Tungy just wouldn’t have been up to it anyways. Pantsir was necessary, and I think the counter point to it is keeping thermal TGP’s and competent interdiction away from the USSR.
That will likely change with the Su-34, so it will be interesting to see how that undoes the tender balance we currently have.
Tbh, I’m fine with Storm Shadow coming. As long as it’s roughly as detectable as anything else, why not? Also, isn’t it basically meant for structures etc? It doesn’t have terminal guidance in anyway the player could effect afaik. Isn’t it just image matching which internal on the unit?
Storm Shadow and Taurus have IIR Terminal guidance if im not mistaken, meaning the ywould be soemwhat effective against tanks in game, but destroying buildings is their main use case, so I would hope they had some kind of damage multiplier vs bases.
