The LFP armor is a debate that I don’t want to bring up here, as to not to derail this thread, but Gaijin has stated what they believe, so it’s safer and quicker to just ask for the SEPv3 (which is also closer to the 2A7s when it comes to how old it is).
That’s the hope, at least, but It was mentioned elsewhere that it’s not set in stone where Thailand ends up. Honestly, I hope they change their minds and add some of the ASEAN countries to Japan. But I suppose we’ll have to see on that front.
Shouldn’t be an issue against hotter, unshielded targets. But due to the way Soviet style IRST works there are some vulnerabilities associated with thermal shielding affecting this kind more severely than the device on eurofighter or the Legion pod soon to enter service.
