Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

wonder if it will come stock with GBUs

Yeah, same. That is one of the main reasons Id take KGV or Nelson over something like QE/Warspite. They use different guns and in a different layout. You can go from Hood to Barham to Renown and almost not notice you even swapped vehicles.

I mean it would have to since it has no weaponry besides bombs. Wouldn’t suprise me if they gave it 2x 500lbs dumb bombs stock.

Probably 500lb Paveway II.

Would be one of the worst stock grinds in game I reckon

Because it takes away from the reasons to grind out the US tech tree and defeats the purpose of having trees to begin with. If you want to fly the F-117, you should have to play the US TT to do so.

Like, if we apply the standard of evaluation being enough to justify a vehicles inclusion into a TT even if the nation in question doesn’t desperately need, then US and Russia together would probably render most of the minor nations, and even Germany, redundant. I don’t like that.

I’m not saying WW2 wasn’t important to China, just that using that as a reason why Singapore should go to China doesn’t work. WW2 was incredibly important to a lot of nations. It doesn’t really connect China to Singapore, anymore then it would to, say, the US or Britain.

Oooh… rather than Britain getting the F-117 can we get BAE Taranis:

You mean like adding a Mig-21 to the British Tech tree?

The MiG 21 was added through the Indian subtree.

Which is also stupid, but not comparable to a British F-117.

they are too similar, adding two similar vehicle is a waste of modelling resource.
though Gaijin just did so, added FV107 not the 101

If gaijin does it for one country, everyone else is fair game

It would be able to carry the GBU-27, a bunker buster variant of the GBU-24. It’s going to worse than the GBU-24 in ground RB I imagine, but likely this will be its special weapon in the possible SEAD mode, where there may be strategic (underground) targets/storage that can only be easily dealt with with the GBU-27.

It was offered to us same as the AJ don’t ignore that

Wait, really?

It has ir signature reducing exhaust ports at least?

Why though?

Britian never operated the Mig-21. Britain has a stronger argument for getting the F-117 than a Mig-21 in my opinion and Britain has a SIGNIFICANTLY closer relation to the US than India.

In the hypothetical future, where Britain does start running out of new vehicles to add, including from its massive pool of paper aircraft. Then something like an F-117 could make an interesting event vehicle.

Well… So does the Harrier (in a roundabout manner) and we all know how well that works out for it

Speaking of the next major update; was Gaijin moving to Battleye?

Because, after seeing this, I am kinda scared… xD

Apparently, FPS dropping by half or more is a consistent issue with it… I know it’s a different game, but:

That is what I read online at least, now it needs to be said that what I read online could be wrong.

It should have a reduced heat signature, but it will likely still be vulnerable to IR missiles to some degree.

Ain’t no way people are asking for a british F-117

why people want the f117 which doesn’t have any real purpose to the game? To scout enemy jet?
