I’m not sure some want to at this point. They seem to wear it as a badge of honour.
Yeah I carry both, fire off aim120s first them derbies when I’m closer for higher probability of kill. But I tend to use more classical NVR tactics using a poles, f poles etc etc and ive been getting success, last night I’ve gotten an ace with su27sm while flying at almost 50k feet
I suppose it’s from cnki?
The classification level on cover page stays blank, so maybe it’s fine? And its full content is downloadable
maybe it was my PL-8B doc, i forgot to put the cover page on it
I don’t usually get close due to my altitude
Oh yeah. It’s declassified right
Exactly, thats why i carry at least one Aim-9M’s in my both F16C’s and F15’s.
Having Python-4 will make my F16C Barak-II much more enjoyable, personally i want more uniqueness, not just some C&P missiles you can find on many tech trees.
yes, it was a students paper iirc
Even so, sometimes you’re forced the lose altitude, and there are always others up high with you.
Thats what i love about Su-27SM, you can carry multiple ARH missiles,R27ET’s and R73’s.
It doesnt have best radar nor flight model but armament makes up pretty much it weaknesses.
People up high give my missiles more energy so it makes bvr easier, I only carry fox 2s If it’s the only missile available on the pylon
If the R-77-1 is as good as I’ve read, the later Flankers will be amazing.
R77s are still kind of meh imo, but when you fly high enough they can be usable for long range
Just wish that Flankers would… You know, turn.
It will be similiar to Aim-120C5 in terms of performance if im not mistaken.
Usa and Nato will always have the edge in terms of BVR engagements tho.
When the TVC ones come, they’ll turn, alright.
And mig 29s, very annoying artificial nerf
Sure they are one of the worst ARH missiles but bein able to carry 6-8 of them is pretty much makes up.
Yeah I usually hit atleast one target
When meteor comes it will be probably the strongest bvr missile for a long while
