It is getting harder to achieve data while missiles are becoming much more modern. So I still guess MICA IR = Aim-9X B1> Python 4 but 9X would cause russian mains to ask an R74 or something like that
The AAM-3 should also use dual axis pulling, but that’s a discussion for another day.
R73M should be enough for now which would increase its high off boresight capabilities

I still dont understand why Israeli Jets doesnt have Python-4.
We already got MICA and R73 and MICA-IR will most likely come very soon, so adding Python-4 right now isnt game breaking by any means.

Bvr is meta anyways and ir missiles are less significant
I still carry one or two ir missiles for cqc engagements and they still make differences, having Python-4 will make Israel jets more unique.
I mean look at Israel F-16C,it can carry both Aim-120 and Derby at the same time which makes it very potent for both close and long range engagements, adding Python-4 will make it even more unique.

Guys we’re never beating the allegations.
In my opinion, even if you can carry all Fox-3, like on the F-15s, you should still carry at least two IR missiles for when you do get in those, also.
