I cannot agree about armor as well. 99A got its “model fixed” but they massively nerfed UFP protection, now without ERA it is T-72B standard, which is simply untrue.
Not to mention the lower turret cheek area was also nerfed recently, now the turret ring is comparable to Abrams, it is easily penetrated and can be killed.
At least with T-90M you have spall liner. Oh, 99A is also missing spall liner, which is also supposed to be present in modern Chinese ground vehicles.

Given the current situation in Myanmar, I just can’t see the connection for it. It would be a different story if the military coup failed, and the nation continued making connections with Japan, but that unfortunately didn’t happen.
As for Thailand, the main rationale for it being a Japanese subtree doesn’t lie in modern relations. It’s because they were allies during the Second World War that gives a Thai subtree justification. If we go simply off of one nation’s population simply like another nation’s population as justification for a subtree, you could easily justify a Mexico, Brazilian or Turkic subtree for Japan.
That doesn’t mean that we should throw logic out the window when it comes to subtrees. While I get that Japan is short on possible subtrees, there should still be some connection to justify it. Idgaf about China, my only real concern is putting subtrees into nations that make sense for them to be in, and all of ASEAN just doesn’t make sense for Japan in my opinion. Indonesia and Singapore are already big stretches. Nations like Vietnam, or Myanmar don’t have a strong enough connection to Japan for me to think they’re valid for a Japanese subtree, and if you want to start arguing for them on the basis of gameplay, you might as well go with Brazil or Turkey as subtrees.
I believe Argentina could solve that issue in the simplest of ways but they instead announced Switzerland and gave us two jets, none of which are advanced enough

Honestly, best option for Singapore should be UK, or just make ASEAN similar to Pan-Asia in world of warships and have a tree like that.
It will satisfy British tree players who seem to want Leopard (for first option).
To have the least controversy make ASEAN tree + maybe South Korea in there imo.

Su-34 is inferior/on par to Mig-29SMT in air to air combat, and inferior to both Mig-27K, Tornado IDS ASSTA, and Su-25SM3 in air to ground.
And yeah, Germany’s not gonna have CAS better than Tornado IDS ASSTA for a hot minute, CAS mind you that’s superior to Mig-27K and F-14B.
Even Mirage 2000s aren’t better than Tornado IDS ASSTA for CAS.
