Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Please see what I said just a few posts above:

Stealth wouldn’t mean much outside of GRB, so even it works incredibly well, nothing would come of it.

Maybe it’ll have a reduce marker view range, but idk.

Similar, but they didn’t use any objects to avoid the Patriot, they just notched and sped away at such high G’s the plane had a failure of the pilot display instruments and cockpit communications as the dudes couldn’t hear each other through headsets at the end. Dodged at least two Patriots…

Same, I don’t expect it but it would be nice. I don’t think the GPS guided GBU-39s are really even worth taking into ground games, given the low damage and inconsistency of 250lb bombs.

1st off: Oh mah gawd its Smin

2nd: True, True, guess I should be more patient
Just kind of tired of Sweden not getting much in the way of things the past several updates, ya know what I mean?

*oh no, now i’m starting to sound like an annoying person D:

Yes, it 's most likely going to be an NPC asset since when it was added to the files a few months ago we saw that it 's modelled as the simple-type Air mode targets, rather than the module system that player-controlled vehicles use:

Well, i agree with you on that :p

If i can ccrp spaa due to thier inability to move i think a 250lbs gps bomb is going to be fine.

I was thinking probably something like how heli’s are hard to lock with IR missiles, or how Radar can be janky when a plane goes behind something for a short period of time, except that it’s just always that kinda janky

I wish I played against goldfish spaa like that lol.

Helis being hard to lock with ir missiles is such a pain in the ass. I couldnt even lock one with a 9l let alone an amraam…

Hopefully well, I think it wont be true stealth I think what itll be is a harder to lock aircraft like its in an indefinite notch or something similar

I can get being annoyed by the opportunity cost, but the British TT is probably the most logical option for this particular Hind. South Africa is a subtree of Britain, and Russia didn’t provide any help in developing it beyond the base Hind from what I understand, and from what I can tell, it’s so heavily modified that it can’t really be considered copy-paste. It is about as Russian as the Centurion LPT is British.

Highly doubt that. This is a great opportunity for Gaijin to test stealth mechanics in a live environment that it would be a mistake to pass up on it.

Kh-36 Grom-E1(or E2) variant.

They never suspect the jet that popped up for 2 seconds had just flung a 1000lbs bomb their way, always a highlight of my day untill the pantsir brings an su 27 to hunt me down in my tornado…

E1, E2 does not have a motor.

At least a 1000lb still has a decent blast radius. You need to move like what, 50-150m to be safe from a 250lb bomb?

You press W for like 2-3 seconds and boom there goes GBU-39.
