Sometimes, companies do leak information as you outline. It is a great way to test the waters without committing to anything.
Controlled leaks, however, aren’t the same as a rogue employee leaking information out before they want it to. Take the recent Pokemon leaks or the GTA6 trailer leak from a while back. There’s a reason why companies don’t officially announce this information.

Hey. The specific Merkava variants the US got via events have not appeared directly in the Israeli tree.
We added other variants (even if slightly different) to Israel to still keep the event ones somewhat unique for those that obtained them. The same is true for the Class 3(P). South Africa has no shortage of light / wheeled vehicles.

Say what you will about sub branches implemented so far, they at least haven’t come at the expense of their host trees.

I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, but what about the Chinese M8? From what I understand, it lacks any differences with the event M8 in the US TT, aside from the livery. Is that just a one off, or am I mistaken?

Now its been moved up they could just add it as an upgrade to existing 2A4 like they do with the BV version for the T-80s etc

A) No South Africa does not prevent domestic British things from coming (as apparent by the last few updates)
B) Spesifically this was about Class 3(P). One vehicle that we don’t have plans to bring to the British tree at the moment. We don’t rule out other South African vehicles being possible.

As I said, we aim to avoid it where possible or use different variants of it where it can be done. But for China’s lower tiers (particularly Rank I), there is not a huge amount of options. So this is indeed more an exception than the norm.
