BVVD said it was one of the first updates of next year. I’m assuming the next one, since Sweden was confirmed to be getting the JAS39C in the next update, and if added without RB99s, it’d effectively be the same as the A.
March or June I think. Strong suspecion that the reason the Swedish Gripen C hasnt come this update is because that will be their ARH carrier. And that has been confirmed for March
Italy is leeching too much tech from Germany for my taste. This should stop at some point.
So? Italy isnt allowed a missile that they purchased and operated on several aircraft IRL, including their F-16s because Germany happens to also use the same missile?

Not necessarily. We may get the Sea Harrier FA2 or Tornado F3 AoP instead. Strictly speaking, SAAF Gripen’s were only equipped with IR. They may chose to maintain that. Sweden doesnt have any other choice. But I’d hope we’d get a choice and have them on the Gripen C too

That is a weird statement. They developed their own F-104. They made their own SARHS (Germany did not), They jointly made the Tornado and the Typhoon.
What exactly did they leech from Germany?

Its already ordered, with fully integrated Eurotrophy @360 deg Radar. Better mine protection. Better bomblet protection. More powerful engine. Upgraded armor composites (newly arranged arrays with pellets of steel, tungsteen, nanoceramics and several other composites). Better sensors.
The Leopard 2AX (will soon get the A9 designation) is the one which isn’t currently existing und still in blueprint stage.

This kind of tech transfer just appears to happen into one direction. Ger never gets something back. Italian mains already asking for Panthers and Tigers. Hungarian Leopard 2A7.
