Well the real issue is that regardless there is a large and easy to aim for weakspot where you can slam 90mm AP-HE through, aka the ring below the mantlet

M1A2 SEPv2 has been the main workhorse of the U.S army since 2007; even in the present day, with SEPv3 being delivered and SEPv4 on the works, SEPv2 still plays a huge role in the U.S army and is currently deployed in eFP missions across eastern Europe as a first line of defence against potential Russian aggressions…
Someone should tell these U.S army people that their tank is useless, based on the opinions of some players over here.

That one would be useless, it has no in game upgrades over the 2a6, nobody was able to find any statements that the standard 2a7 has the armor upgrade. While 2a7v specialy states it.
I find the addition of the 2a7V weird as well but gajin said with rank 8 they will introduce the modern tanks of the countries in service. The 2a7v is the only 2a7 variant in service now in germany
There are two braincells here, and they are fighting for third place.
It is what essentially makes armor addition to the abrams meaningless, unless you are hull down over a ridge using the full gun depression

It’s performance in game isn’t the same as it’s irl performance. They should honestly have skipped the SEPv2, as the SEPv3 is a far better equivalent for the 2A7V.
Guess we’ll see. I was right the last time we had a similar discussion, doubt I will be far off this time.
Not that it is stated anywhere, or anybody can prove it, there is no sources stating it at all

I dont think anyone would claim its useless, and i don’t really think they have. The issue is just that Warthunder is a game and in this game there are some glaring flaws to take advantage of

It will get the armor because otherwise it’s just a straight downgrade because of the weight.
Unfortunately, the armor will only provide about 530-550mm KE so everything that’s not a T-80U will still lolpen it

They cancelled sepv4, some upgreades will be implementet to spev2 and sepv3
