M1a2s at top tier

exactly how i feel, i have no problem on maintain the conversation civilized with constructive arguments and actually trying to understand the other point of the view on the matter, if im wrong, im wrong…

But if come here only to attack, reply only with irony and trolling, bringing NOTHING new to the conversation let alone anything constructive, well, you already know that ill talk shit too, but i know i shouldnt, just that patience is no more here (already have to deal with bunch of irl stuff…)

Exactly.

They accuse us of being “stubborn and just wanting artificial buffs to be invincible” even though I literally acknowledged that the Abrams most likely doesn’t have any form of spall protection and let alone traditional spall liners after all after discussing the matter with Necrons, who then proceeded to block me “because I am so evil and such a liar” or whatever xD

As you said, I am always glad to have civil discussions and conversations where anyone may contribute anything to the other side; but it is very often that the users who come to these treads have NO genuine intentions at all beyond trolling and hating others over a videogame thing.

Oh, I see! Indeed hahah, it is absurd how heated up things can get over a videogame tank. Many people often lose perspective of things over here.

People who say this really confuse me, if people wanted the Abrams to be invincible they would be called out and there would be some backlash. Asking for the abrams to get fixed is no different than asking the Leclerc or Ariete to be fixed.

Completely agreed!!!

Best of all is, most of us DO ask for all of those tanks to be fixed on their respective threads as well, hahah.

I don’t bother with checking others’ stats religiously, Mr. BrainChunk. I do pay attention to who likes what posts. You consistently seem to think little to nothing of people encouraging for fixes in the Abrams, so the consistency plays a part in the title I gave you. What you play doesn’t matter in that regard.

And it’s the players who have consistently pushed to try and get the Abrams’ players’ threads derailed that I find often push that boundary the most.

I will retract this one thing, Necrons HAS provided information regarding the turret ring that would assist in getting it fixed, so he’s not entirely obtuse about it. But he’s consistently pretentious and undermining of others, without attempting to try tact first.

I get that some of the younger players or newer players get passionate or dumb in their insults, but constantly deriding everyone won’t change the modeling. Only actual research and the company deciding to finally tweak the appropriate fixes we desire.

As of now, that’s:

M829A3
Turret Ring
Hydraulic pressure system (should not lock up the turret ring when it’s shot since we have a manual traverse system as a back-up in case power fails, similar to the way they’ve modeled it in engine loss)
Hull armor layout
Speed - The Abrams should have consistently faster transmission.

I reach the limit of my patience with some folks, Alvis. If Ion_Protogen, Casino_Knight, and Pitzo are constantly undermining the conversation on improvements, I will hold them to the same standard as the rest of the newer players.

Unlike the newer guys, I’ve been around a couple years, so I know the regulars like them and Necrons.

If they gotta problem? DMs are wide open. And then they can bring me some form of evidence to disprove what I’m saying needs fixed.

Otherwise, the fact is that the Russian ERA and Chinese ERA is often strong enough to withstand DM53 or M829A2. In the DM53’s case, this should be highly questionable, since it was designed as an anti-ERA tip penetrator rod. And since the M829A2 was outmoded because of the ERA, it was supplanted by the A3.

If they’re not willing to model anti-ERA technology into their weapons, I’d appreciate it if Gaijin would say as much, and not leave it up to players to argue amongst themselves into a banning frenzy.

Make sense?

Lotta words to not be on topic.

Are you arguing for or against the abram’s. I’m confused and want to share some things but don’t want to get flamed.

That was a mistake they should have rectified, and I’d support any buffs to the Challengers mantlet if it was put forward.

I wouldn’t even care if the armor exceeded every known round in the game, because the Challenger is that tough a target.

Out of all the times it’s been disabled or destroyed, it’s never been from a front hull or turret penetration, ever.

Share what you want, I don’t flame new faces because of contrary opinions. I flame people I know are consistently undermining the conversation.

Also, I am for the following adjustments:

M829A3
Turret Ring
Hydraulic pressure system (should not lock up the turret ring when it’s shot since we have a manual traverse system as a back-up in case power fails, similar to the way they’ve modeled it in engine loss)
Hull armor layout
Speed - The Abrams should have consistently faster transmission.

Sounds more like you’re just an upset US main that can’t handle people disagreeing with you. Maybe if you provided some substantial and credible evidence to substantiate the claims you make for these improvements. If you did though you would have bug reported it and it would have been dealt with already.

I have little patience for headcanon and speculation being used as the basis for US mains trying to get the abrams buffed in an attempt to convince themselves that their own poor performance is the vehicles fault and not theirs.

You can falsely flag this again, it will just get reviewed

You clearly didn’t see the classified image that was leaked months ago about the Challenger mantlet.

That being said, they modeled the mantlet with the given evidence that had at the time (even tho protection estimates are still off by a factor or 3x), if they ever get more up to date information then expect another mantlet remodel.

CR2 Mantlets should be 600mm at the thickest.

The in-game mantlet physically adds up to 600mm yet somehow its only 240mm. Makes no sense.

I don’t think the vehicles need this shell considering A1 already does the job, unless you’re just asking to railgun every vehicle in sight without repercussion. It would make the game incredibly unbalanced.

Turret Ring

Fundamentally this wouldn’t change much so I don’t know why people use this as a point of contention constantly.

Hydraulic pressure system

You’re asking for game mechanics that would apply to an extremely wide array of vehicles, that isn’t exactly fit for the topic.

Hull armor layout

Can you elaborate on this one?

Speed - The Abrams should have consistently faster transmission.

Yeah that’s the majority of vehicles in game as they don’t properly model physics nor transmissions. Almost every tank is suffering in this regard.

Ultimately though none of this changes would heavily benefit the M1 in a way that matters, it would still suffer from the worst top tier playerbase in the entire game. If you want to increase the M1’s capabilities you should start with the players. Then again with the way you outright admit to flame people just because they disagree with you is a telling sign in it’s self.

Well T-80BVMM and T-90M are brain rot easy while Abrams isn’t simple as that

What have I been doing that you don’t like? I’d also like to clarify that I have been on the forums for a year and a half by now.

I’m not against buffs for the Abrams, I just believe that people are biased when discussing this stuff, and that this stuff should be discussed in a better way. I am skeptical about people claiming that it is one of the worst MBTs at top tier.

Gaijins transmission modelling is awful. The Type 10s CVT isn’t simulated, automatic transmissions lack any sort of simulation, and stuff just doesn’t feel good to use.

Cool didn’t know if you were like the fox profile pic guy or not.
But there has been cases that when the shell hit the armor of the M1 it just shattered. I would like to see that in game instead of reflecting into the turret ring. As you can see form the pics below it would deform the shell on the DU armor if it bounce. Idk if this is prove of DU armor but congress said it not me.

It also says they could not penetrate the armor with any iraq shell.

yes, alot of this info has already been reported but over the past couple months i was looking into it myself ive seen not alot done or even looked at besides useless bickering. Im going to make a report but im pre occupied with priorities out side the game.

I wholeheartedly agree, it’s pretty funny that most of his points apply more so to game mechanics that effect everyone than the vehicle in question.
