M1a2 sep v3

I believe this is a SepV2 because it doesn’t have those flat ends of the turret cheeks at the breech

This is a SepV3 as it has those flat surfaces on the beginning of the cheeks

This one doesnt have flat surfaces at the end but its still a sepv3

This thing is not an enhanced armor version, but technological demonstrator to test electronic equipment mounted on production variant of M1A2 SEPv3. So basically, in hardware, it’s SEPv2.

I censored things that might compromise their privacy. I assure you I’m not lying. I reworked my previous statement, but here we go again.

The three easy ways to identify a True Production SEPv3 are the Bulk Tow Hooks, the Low Profile CROWS, and the reshaped and thickened turret geometry.

This can be seen in these 3 images. If the turret face was thickened, as you can see in the first image, how can that be considered Weight Savings? Furthermore, if the vehicle is lighter, why did they install bigger tow hooks? If weight had been saved, why was SEPv4 canned for getting too heavy?

Visually, this vehicle isn’t much different than a SEPv3, so what could have possibly affected the weight suddenly after the V3? It’s simple. Nothing. The SEPv3 did not decrease weight, and neither did the v4. That’s the entire reason the SEP program was canned in favor of the future M1A3.

I cannot tell you the exact weight, and don’t truly know it myself, but I do know that this vehicle is somewhere within the mid-70-ton mark when combat-loaded. An M1A2 SEPv3 with Trophy would close in around 80 tons.

This is not a production SEPv3, as seen by the comment below yours. It’s a bit frustrating seeing the unfinished prototype used to represent the production model in suggestion posts.

Just stumbled on this old post. Man, we’re closing in on 1 year later and still no SEP v.3 lmfao. Maybe this winter update we’ll finally get it xD

Big time wrong.

Going from something like this against any DM53 slinger(and other APFSDS that have more than ~610mm of pen at workable range, which can be found in almost every nation by now)
shot 2025.10.05 12.41.23

To something closer to this:
shot 2025.10.05 12.43.10

Better turret cheeks and better side armor would help a lot to make hulldown a lot more reliable in that tank. The Abrams has suffered for a while now from the turret providing very little protection as soon as you catch it at the slightest angle. Why would you even imply that every hit will be headon?

I haven’t seen it. It’s destroyed by regular BOPS, even more so by HSTV-L.

Here are some images of it

Honestly looks a lot more practical than a brimstone on the challenger 2 streetfighter

So, 1 SB600 and 2 300?

Do u have more pictures of it? Whats even the difference between this crows and the one on the sep v2??

This should have been added with the type 10

Good news,

Sounds like the coming patch will have it, along with the M1A2T for Taiwan.

What’s the difference between this and the Chinese one

All that matters for the game is weaker turret armor and most likely hull.

It may just be me but I don’t like that china gets the sep v3
But we do get confirmation for sep v3 so win win i guess
(I am not an American for clarification)

China does not have SEPv3. M1A2T is smth like SEPv2.
