I’m a US main and the m18 is perfectly fine at 6.0, it’s way faster than most other rival tanks and can easily outflank Tigers and such. The gun is decent if you know weak points, the only problem is cas but this is at every br

Cuz people fighting against it go aaah that thing is so unfair. Russian mains be thinking that they suffer after tanking 37 shots from any other tank. Against the m18, all you gotta do is position ur tank in a good position so that flanking is difficult, and the 76 gun will struggle to pen angled armour.

It is considered a light tank only for the purpose of allowing it to scout, because gaijin must have felt that the vehicle alone didn’t warrant its BR with just the mobility alone.
Could have stayed the same class as before. We have 4 SPG with scouting. 2 in the USSR tree and 2 in the US tree.

That could be a reason why the M18 is a light tank - to make it easier to access powerful American CAS early on in the match. That’s also part of balancing a vehicle.
Of course, there’s the opposite interpretation - it’s a light tank because they want it to cost more spawn points, while TDs are very cheap, and M18s are excellent earners of spawn points.
I think they all get airstrike. You can check easily. It’s the M50 ontos the M55 scorpion and both the ASU 57 and 85

Probably. I am however still salty about the ELC BIS. I love the thing and I keep trying to scout with it since it’s so damn light tank coded that I still have no clue why it has no scouting. Or why it’s classed as an SPG in the first place.
