AP not HEAT. And unless someone actually proves me wrong- it has gun port and turret pixel where it can be killed
I was wrong to say it cant be 1 popped in turret but its extremely unlikely.
so that brings us full circle. The m103 is a stinker, no ifs/ buts
Its a simple test with same parameters. T29 is just better vs tiger 2. If the m103 comes into its own vs ruski I cant really say but cant see it as its struggling with a tiger
I just messed around a little with the HEAT. Just go shoot the tiger 2 from close/ straight on in turret and see how bad it is. Are you remembering how good it used to be as i feel like im playing a different game at this point
just use HEAT, on a tank with such a bad reload that it is slower than the base crew replacement even if you are shooting with an ace crew
so even if you kill the gunner, they will be replaced before you can follow up
and you obviously have HEAT post pen damage, idk why anyone would chose to use the HEAT on this especially given the AP rounds IRL and former performance
From spawn HEAT- lucky capola x1 / still only 1 pops the drivers port
But it gets worse. From close- straight shots. Heat still only 1 pops the gun port- even the turret fails
AP close and straight- drivers port is now not 1 shot as the angle doesnt take the round into ammo enough. It makes the ammo turn colour twice- it looks like crew is actually soaking up most of the spall.
The turret weak spot is still a pixel! Same hole right hand side (commander sights not sure? Even slightly to the right of pixel takes 3 rounds- similar to gun port.
This isnt 100% as its annoying AF with the tiger spawning in the ground so have to ram it back straight. The rounds are broken or the tiger 2 is just its nemesis with how the crew is positioned. Either way its the hardest tank iv ever used to kill a tiger that isn’t around its BR and its not even close
i mean the bounce angles is not that relevant, it could make a difference on some scenarios but on larger caliber like on the 120mm is not that noticeable as they get a lot of overmatch reduction, even if it says "100% bounce change at 65º you can still pen a lot of things at much higher angles, and it also does have better slop modifiers than capped ap, but not as good as the soviet blunt nose ap
the 65° value is the not accurate value, it does only apply to plates where overmatch doesnt take into effect, you can very much reliably pen a panther’s side at 70°, like i said overmatch is very much a thing on the game.
