Again, if a tank requires more skill to do the same as another tank, that doesn’t make it a higher skill ceiling, that just makes it a worse tank.
The Abrams being good in the hyper specific scenario of ESports tournaments (which are honestly a complete mockery of ESports), does not mean its good in actual battles.
T-80 is well optimized for actual battles with normal players.
The T-series biggest weakspot is literally their LFP. Either way, Abrams turret weakspot is bigger than T-series so you’re not really helping your point.
lmao no.
T-series can reliably tank a shell that’s misplaced even slightly. Abrams loses both hori drive and engine/transmission to nearly every penning shot. Even shooting the tracks can take both modules out.
Abrams gets HEATFS-DS (PF)
T-80 gets HE (a very good one at that) and an ATGM which is good for deterring helis.
And ofc they both get APFSDS, naturally.
It’s literally like my second or third most played tank.
Lets just agree to disagree that you don’t have the skill(set) to properly utilize the Abrams and that the T-80s fit you more because of their lower skill floor.
Nobody is going to convince anyone of anything and I have better things to do than arguing in circles all night.
Both are relatively similar. If you misplace slightly on a T-80U with M829A2, you blow straight through its UFP and kill it. Go figure.
They are rather equal, however Abrams is superior, as its APFSDS shells are better. MPAT is very useful for killing Helis or Planes, even proxy’ing above SPAA in cover. T-80s lack this, however they can snipe roofs with HE I guess.
Not necessarily. You also dont really need the horizontal drive anyway (ignore the shot on the 122, I messed up)
If a tank requires more skill to play to be equal to another tank, then it’s just a bad tank.
Prot analysis is very silly. You will not be penning a T-80’s UFP, and most of the breech area is just a volumetric black hole, similar to the Panthers.
You do when you lose both your hori drive, AND your engine/transmission, which is absurdly common.
A high skilled Abrams player will absolutely smack a similarly high skilled T-80 player around. High skill vs high skill player match ups are different from low/average vs low/average skill player match ups.
LMAO not even close. If that were even remotely true, I wouldn’t have been farming both TT and prem/squad Abrams in my T 80 U when I had less than 1k hours in the game.
The T 80 U requires less skill for the one and only reason that it’s better. It’s time for you to accept that the Abrams just isn’t a good tank in WT.
These shots are tried and true through my thousands of games at top tier. If anything, it proves how little YOU know about the game, as you don’t know these shots exist.
