Low tier tanks in top tier battles

This is a completely different story, as being physically unable to bring something better isn’t really on you, you showed the intent that you want to be competitive which is all you can do in that case.

But, there’re many, many options for you before you’re forced to take out 1.3 BR medium Chi-Ha.

Both you and your team gain a disadvantage, which is a problem as it’s clearly done intentionally.

Some common sense rules should apply in a PvP multiplayer game.
Griefing is a commonly known term in the gaming and doing this is exactly that.

Is not Sturmtiger or another verhicle that causing massieve damage with one shot but that people intentionally griefing by bringing low tier verhicle into battle to ruin other players battle.

If they use a troll tank like m22 or bt5 l3 ok but some people using tiger sherman t34 in toptier and it’s not nice

“Common sense rules” “game”
you aren’t playing ranked or pro league. grow up. someone playing a Sturm or a Fox at top tier ain’t killing you.

And we have God Mode ingame… Encouraged xD

I don’t need to play ranked or pro league to want teammates that aren’t griefing, that should be a norm to be honest.

Telling me to grow up while you yourself are defending blatant griefing is funny.
Someone playing L3 in top tier because “funni” is directly putting that player and his team at a disadvantage. Doing this intentionally is literally the definition of griefing.

@Creastroy
That’s the sad part actually.
What’s even worse, you get 2x more SL for griefing than for actually being useful and winning the game by dropping a nuke.

I’ve seen many 4 player squads where you have 1 top tier player and 3 low tier players with vehicles that straight up CANNOT kill top tier tanks. And when you have almost a quarter of your team completely useless, you’re at a disadvantage.

It’s actually scary seeing so many people supporting this blatant griefing. Other PvP games are fighting against stuff like that, but here we have Gaijin literally encouraging that type of gameplay. I think game balance is an alien concept to some.

Back to the community, some in here that actually support this are first in line to screech in misery because a given vehicle is 0.3 BR too low/high which makes the game “unbalanced”.

And like, the argument

“But I wanna play with my frens :c” is so … dishonest.

You want to play with your friends? Play an appropriate vehicle to play with them in an environment your friend can contribute and feel like they’re making an impact.

Bringing a bi-plane into vietnam jet era will just give your friend ~10 minutes of flying aimlessly for nothing if lucky. Dunno about you, but it sucks enough to play some 1.0 uptiers in comparable vehicles due to compression (F2H2 vs Ariete). I can’t imagine it gets more fun if it gets worse.

Dunno what’s the most comparable thing for tanks, but given how much different some tanks’ viability can be purely from a 1.0 uptier at 7.7 vs a 1.0 downtier, I can imagine there’s plenty of examples for “absolutely toothless vehicle that doesn’t even exist in the same plane of existence” for tanks as well.

Spawning a lowtier into toptier isn’t griefing
these are examples of griefing
Shooting down your teammates during takeoff
purposefully bombing your teammates
Pushing your teammate out of cover so they die and give you an opportunity to kill the enemy
ramming a plane to deny a teammate the kill
Telling the enemy team in all chat where your teammate is flanking to screw them over

if you squad up and your teammate drag your 3.7 tank or 2.3 plane to high-toptier cuz “KEK funny laugh” when you weren’t expecting it. That’s a different can of worms and your squadmate is a piece of shit

It definitely is as you’re intentionally lowering your and your team’s chances of success. As I said to other poster, just try to play knife/pistol only in a game of CS2 and see how quickly you’re going to get flamed, kicked and reported for griefing.

@RunaDacino
One of the worst arguments to be honest.

Bi-planes in top tier are just baiting reactions and trying to make people TK them, one of absolute worst type of players you can meet.

Gaijin is also enabling that to happen which makes it even funnier.

Perfect example why it is how it is and why it shouldnt be changed.
and if the people can actually kill something then they have done more for the game then your typical (as example) level 10 clickbait user who are leaving with 1 death and zero kills.

it genuinely ruins top tier

Just amazing, the fact he put up a video of himself getting an assist and a spawn kill tells me it isn’t that efficient.

Also, everything done in that video could’ve been done better by dozen other UK vehicles, so taking Independent makes no sense.

look at U.S TT after aims and clickbait premium bs, top tier premiums shouldn’t be available to new players that don’t have prior knowledge of game mechanics. top tier premiums shouldn’t be a thing in the first place. but gaijin is an ever-evolving load of greedy bullshit figuring out ways to destroy such a great concept of a game with P2W

If you want a systemic griefing issue, it’s allowing low level players who can’t play the game into toptier, a lv100 with a m22 will contribute far more than a lv7 player with a clickbait being cannonfodder

if you want it in CS:GO terms, it’s allowing a Silver I rank into Global Elite rank match

First: that is just a randome short i saw on YT
Second: it makes perfect sense since its one of the worst Tanks in WT and with that it makes it the perfect meme vehicle to kill Top Tier tanks.

Uptiering Planes is a no go for me aswell since its truly a disadvantage.
But with tanks its a diffrent story.
even if he had the BR representing vehicles doesnt mean he will do bedder.
its not that rare to see players with a full lineup to have for example 0 kills but 4 deaths and nothing else at the end of the match.
And having all the top tier premiums is basicly the same thing then uptiering low tier tanks.

Just because you’re level 100 doesn’t mean you’re experienced in GRB. That player would also contribute much, much more if he took out 12.0 vehicle instead of M22, which he intentionally didn’t and that is the whole issue here.

This game doesn’t put you in a match based on your skill.

It means he would have much higher chances of doing better.

Being in Reserve tier vehicles surely wouldn’t help those.

Sure, a lv5-12 guy will contribute much, much more to feeding the enemy a easy free kill. I don’t know what matches you have had at 10.3-12.0 but i take a competent player memeing in a m22 over cannonfodder

At this point I’m not sure that he has any kind of grasp on what actually constitutes a positive contribution to the team.

Based on the insistance that the behaviour is griefing and ruining the game, the unwillingness to consider other perspectives, I’ve surmised that this is purely an emotional response to frustration with the game.

As soon as they start to feel better, low tier tanks, ODL, clickbait abrams, all that bullshit will cease to be an issue until the frustration sets in and they need a target for their anger and dissatisfaction.
