As per the name, I believe that the current matchmaker for ground simulator battles around 3.7 is unjustifiably skewed towards one team
I’m not here to whine about Germany suffering - it doesn’t - but more to ask why the Allied side gets access to several 4.3 & 4.7 heavy and medium tanks, and even the 6.0 br M18 (Which neither side should get at this BR). I have pictured a few below, but have checked all - the German side especially (Which makes up most of the axis side in ground sim) get access to a maximum 3.7 BR medium tank and no heavy tank (tech tree).
In contrast to this, the russians get several 4.0, 4.3 and 4.7 medium and heavy tanks in their tech tree, as well as multiple nations on the allied side gaining access to the M18. The highest medium tanks the axis have access to are the Japanese Chi-To series (which is maybe played by a single player per match if that.)
I feel like the M18 shouldn’t exist at this sim bracket at all, and maybe the brackets be adjusted to give the allied side access to less of the 4.3 & 4.7 tanks. - Let me know your thoughts

i mean to be fair if they did have access to any of their next highest medium or heavy tanks it would be just as unfair
but the reasoning for it as I see it is all those non-axis vehicles used to be lower BRs more in line with what germany has access to but have been put up in BR over time but get forgotten about in the sim lineups
Ahh that makes a lot of sense - gaijin neglecting the players again.
I have no problem with an occasional 4.7 medium/heavy in the br range, but the fact that the most played nation in all of war thunder gets like 4 of them, then the other team gets none seems a little absurd.
Of course it is Russia though…
Also funny how France is on the Allied side when for most of WW2 their official military fought with Germany and only civilian resistance and a small number of actual military members stayed on the allied side.

Very true, sim is like the abandoned child hahaha. It’s a shame though because it honestly has the most potential as a game mode.
