Okay Im still not sure why you think that should be the other players problem or gaijins problem?
There is one very simple solution to your problem: spend some time learning the things you just stated you dont know.

It should be Gaijin’s problem because they want our money and we will not give it to become someone’s moving bullseye every single time we try to play.
Gaijin has been successful to keep the game alive for 10 years, and if there is one thing I’ve learned about games-as-a-service is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
So here I am squeaking about how certain demographic of players of whose existence Gaijin is well aware is becoming an issue to Gaijin’s bottom line.
Will it work? Maybe yes, maybe not. But you get nothing by staying silent… -^0^-
Maybe the matchmaker should factor whatever elements it factors in a different way, so players who are very good wait a bit longer and are matched against players who are as good as them
This is called “punishing people for learning how to play the game” and will 100% result in more people leaving the game than your current issue.
So what? Those good players also play the game. And probably pay for it.
You want to punish them for literally just playing the game?
You want them to be forced to wait for extended periods of time to get battles purely so people like you can be handheld more? That’ll just drive them to quit instead, “which directly effects gaijins bottom line”
This problem you are describing is entirely your problem. It is a problem that every single person who has ever played this game before (and frankly every single game in existence) has faced regardless of how much time they played or money they spent. And it is a problem that NO ONE ELSE but the player themselves (that means you!) Has the capability to solve.
Imagine being handheld in real life to that level because you cant be bothered learning a bit. Yeesh.
So being forced to play against players as good as you is a punishment, but being denied to play by players who are better than you is not?
A game is not a job, being proficent in it is not mandatory. If you choose to be proficent and succeed, go fight people who also chose to be proficent and succeeded.
Each player plays for his own reasons and what matters to Gaijin is how much money they spend.
People can’t learn themselves out of their disabilities…
…and at this point you’re just beginning a wiener size contest (respect my larger wiener! Get one larger yourself!) which probably tells more about you than about the topic of dedicated Chinese players being too good to be fun to play against and the probable convenience of fine triming the matchmaker so players who have had a bad run of several matches against players much better than them don’t meet such oponents for a few matches.
So being forced to play against players as good as you is a punishment
yes
but being denied to play by players who are better than you is not?
no. There is no matchmaker deliberately making you face better players. You can also choose to learn more about the game. So it’s not the same.
A game is not a job, being proficent in it is not mandatory. If you choose to be proficent and succeed, go fight people who also chose to be proficent and succeeded.
Doing well in the game is not guaranteed by anybody. It is up to you to do better. I do sympathize with your reasoning AND with your vision issues as I share the same problems, but I can’t agree with the idea of punishing people for simply learning the game.
Each player plays for his own reasons and what matters to Gaijin is how much money they spend.
Gaijin would 100% lose money if not lose the entire game if they tried to implement skill based matchmaking.
Guess what? You arent the only one with a disability.
Nor is it an excuse to punish a large percentage of other people just to handhold you or people like you.
This is not a weiner measuring contest. This is you complaining and arguing to punish ME and make this game more annoying and frustrating FOR ME to play because YOU think you deserve special treatment.
This is an online PVP game. Playing with and against players that are better than you is standard practice and is to be expected for every single game of this type. The whole draw is to pit yourself against other players and learn to beat them.
If you dont like it, go play a co op game or a single player game.
Dont try to punish people who are just doing the same thing you are, playing the game. Most of them just as casually as yourself. And that includes me.
As I already stated, I had an issue with Chinese players curbstomping my team in 4 out of 7 matches I played in EU morning time. Which probably was a demography issue (too few EU players) but is an extension on how Chinese players are generally too good to be fun to play against and thus should be “punished” by fighting their peers more often as they did while they still had a dedicated server.
PS: this is not personal, I suggest you to chill out.
Hello Zekken,
i dont understand your point or better i dont understand why you are defend an system which disadvantaged newbies. For me its like Football Experience.
In War Thunder they mix Newbies with Major League Players. The Newbies are Frustrated soon.
But without new Players the Game bloods dry.
The only Thing i wish is, to learn the game (like you advised) but in this system the Newbies are dont have a chance.
And so it will be the Problem of the more experienced Players and of gaijin. Without other players, War Thunder dies.
Hi, I think it’s been over a year since gaijin made the first changes that are making this game too difficult: I’ve been playing since 2015, and I’ve seen a lot of changes, but now it’s becoming impossible: it’s not who is good who wins, but who has better luck not being faced with BOTS that shoot through walls, 1-shot you, etc. They are BOTs, needless to say it’s not possible: I’ve seen sites where you pay and play, always winning. Just making fun of honest players.
Search the internet and find 100K offers: if you pay, you win. And the doubt that those sites are Gaijin’s own comes to me.
Enough big gamin screen can help alot too. When i bought 32"gaming screen curved and was used to play quite small screen before that… whole life&fps based gaming changed for sure… being actually able to spot targets from far… Ofc would help having even better screen, but 1would not think how big difference can be before you actually get to feel it @Nowomowa
I’m with you @serindas We used to have a word for people that played like that but we can’t use it anymore. “If you are not playing to win, why are you playing?” I thought that was why we played. I guess that was pre - Idiocracy.
But when the game goes to all Premium status, we’ll see who’s who. I don’t buy Premmies to play one round and then leave. No person of honor does this. But Honor is just a word isn’t it? I’m a dinosaur aren’t I? :D
Another seal clubbing session with Chinese players obliterating blue team without a chance to stop losing, 4 vehicles lost for a grand total of 2200 SL and 1700 XP with +30% XP bonus … your pick Gaijin, my money or theirs, get your shit straight and pit those cyborgs against each other or go find some other fool to pay you for the privilege of being curbstomped.
This discussion is one of the most ludicrous (and yet very explicative) that I could find…This game is supposed to offer different options to different players…You guys complaining about how difficult is to become a better player is the main reason that stands in your way. Many of us started badly like everyone else. Aside those who exploits things like ULQ and others things, most of us learned maps and their strong points, studied ammos/shells in relation to armours. We played when ballistic computers, drones and laser range finders weren’t in the game.
But most importantly, we learned to play the game mode which better suited us. So if you can’t aim, predict were most probably the incoming enemy direction will be, marks position for the team, use an SPAA and so on…THEN STOP WHINING AND GO TO PLAY ARCADE.
You’re welcome to be the better player versus other better players, as long as the masses of casuals get our bang per our buck, because without our buck your better-playerism would not have a game to play at all.
“But, but, get a bigger wiener! Git gud!!”
Not interested, thank you. I’m not even talking to you. I am talking to the guys who get money from me and discussing the dimisnishing experience they’re providing.
@Nowomowa It’s not so much about telling you that you need to be good, it’s that you need to actually do something to do something on the field… Not sit there saying it’s too hard without trying or doing anything.
Sitting back and sniping may keep you from paying your repairs, and ultimately dying, but it literally isn’t doing anything.
You should try squading, it works… Especially if you find the better minded individuals rather than those dead-set on blaming the game for their ‘non-enjoyment’
I confess that I have had to read this several times to be sure (also English and I don’t work well) of what is written in this thread.
Are you asking good or more skilled players (in this case Chinese players) to play on other servers with other players with similar skills? and you demand it because you are a paying player, uhm…well, you are within your rights.
I respect and understand your demand but I do not share it in any way, what’s more, if it were the unlikely event that this were met, believe me, that day I will leave the game.
In my opinion, I play online games because I like to play against other players regardless of their skill (honestly, if I have been playing wt for 10 years it is precisely because I can play against people), if I enter a game where I am worried or bothered by the skill of other players, so I will simply go to another game, that game is not for me, I will go to a single player game.
lol guy complaing about people using 3rd party mods and peeps keep thinking he means skill… Bro those super gud guys you talking about pay for their skill so they can allways see you and allways kill you with one shot… Watch replay then when you see funny things like guys behind stuff that seem to track you then come out with turret set in right direction for snapshots or spaa players using aim mods shooting aircraft down with ease( you can tell trust me) report them its not skill
What I expect Gaijin to do is to keep extremely good players a little less close to me so my fun is not spoiled by more one sided massacres than I feel comfortable with. How many are those? Dunno. 1 in 15 battles? 1 in 20? 1 in 25 battles? Or maybe it’s time? No more than 1 one-sideed massacre per 50 minutes? 75? 100?
This is made on the assumption that the matchmaker is NOT player-agnostic and DOES react to player actions above and beyond not matching 1,000 battle veterans versus 10 battle noobs if possible. Like counting boosters as “better skill” in terms of “better battle reward”.
How can Gaijin tell which players keep away from which others until a cooldown expires? Maybe with K/D ratios and Kills per battle/kills per time/deaths per battle/deaths per time counter -that is, measuring player performance as a killer (killers enjoy the game better and play longer) and as a target (targets enjoy the game far less and tend to play far less too).
My encounters with ungodly good players are shortening my time in the game, and after 4,300 hours of terrible gameplay it is well established that I’m OK with some punishment, but I do bloody have a limit and those cyborgs are pushing it.
Thus I tell Gaijin about it.
