AIM-120A
AIM-120D (similar to 120C FM) is not so bad either, but it is noticeably more sluggish when turning.

wonderful
historically accurate.
All the others still pull better, but now they are perfectly usable in most short-range hobs situations.
Now if you compare the AIM-120 to derby and PL-12, they pull almost as good and are much better in energy retention. So aim-120 might be one of the better missiles after the R-77-1 and mica.
The R-77 is more cracked than the thrust-vectoring R-73, so maybe gaijin went a bit overboard with these fox3 changes…
given that we know the R77 is limited to ~45 degrees AoA, and currently in game it can pull ~90 degrees, yeah just a little over done
If that’s the case yeah it seems really dumb, or maybe the R-73 is underperforming, it is quite slow when manouvering hard
