It was an attempt to put into perspective how time periods clashing does not end well for the game, I used the Tiger 1 as it is a hallmark tank that everyone knows.

Because x dumb-OP thing gets replaced by y dumb-OP thing and the cycle continues. I find myself getting more and more fed up with it every time it happens until ultimately I stop playing the game again for either several years, or forever. That’s just me but I’m sure I’m not alone.

Sure, but it doesnt happen because of anything gaijin does, it happens because players seek out the most OP thing whenever the last OP thing gets balanced. Gaijin cant predict the future, hence why balancing and BR changes take time
Also generally something might be seen as OP by players when it is above average at best, the rest is conformation bias

Yeah the chinese f104G is at 10.7 with less 2 less aim9P than the japanese one, who knows why, maybe gaijin thinks the extra 100kgf is really useful

Gaijin have been really indiscreet with their ‘recent’ premium balancing though. Ka-50 and 2S38 for example. They are also actively destroying top-tier with the amount of premium vehicles they force in. There’s like 5 different top tier T-80 variants you can buy and that’s Russia alone. I am a strong believer that just like helicopters, to buy a premium of a certain rank you need to have unlocked that rank to begin with. You can still buy things on sales, but you can’t use it unless unlocked. That should also help combat the one-death leavers(seriously, I have to stop playing 11.7 GRB because every game is either my team or theirs is full of clickbaits with one death)

That said, I agree with OP, and while I only joined in 2018 I feel my nearly 7 years of experience is enough to speak on the subject. I thing that adding missiles ruined this game, immensely.
Honestly neither have been OP in a while, in the hands of a good player with some good luck sure, but thats the same for everything in the game
1 and two halves the squadron vehicle doesnt fully count and the t80UD is 10.3

I see a lot of people 1 death leave in tech tree vehicles, the only time I have ever done it was trying to spade a specific vehicle

I wouldnt say ruined is the right word, they just changed it, air gets significantly changed roughly every year but its mostly just mimicking changes that happened irl too. Adding more and more recent planes and adding missiles was always going to happen, if you dont like that then dont go above 8.0 or go play a different game
I didn’t really word it properly aha, I meant when missiles were added it started the significant downfall of the game in my eyes. That’s when I stopped having so much fun with the game :(

Actually something I mostly agree with here, there are definitely a few that are under BR’d, such as the Su-11 or J35XS, but there are more than many under BR’d tech tree vehicles (Ayit , F/A 18A). People buy premiums to get to top tier quicker most of the time

Fair, i think the problems at the moment are caused by people thinking bombing bases is easier and better for grinding than actually trying to kill the enemy. Warthunder players have zero concept of opportunity cost
I agree, I can’t even touch top tier because of how bad it is, the highest I enjoy going is 6.7, and the highest I do go is 12.7. I don’t touch the plague that is 14.0 black hole
