List of 3d aircraft models not yet remodeled from IL-2 Birds of Prey/Wings of Prey and Birds of Steel

I’m not sure in which category I should post this topic, but as you know, some of the aircraft 3d models(mostly props) we have in War Thunder were transferred directly from the IL-2 Birds of Prey/Wings of Prey released on consoles and Windows PC in 2009 and the Birds of Steel in 2012 to the current game.

While several aircraft have undergone remodeling, including the Spitfires that has Merlin engine, Ju 87, and Me 163 B, there are still many aircraft that have not undergone remodeling, including all Bf 109s since the F-4 and the P-51D-5, some of which will even be 15 years old in 2024.

These 3D models are already outdated, or errors in the 3D models that were pointed out years ago are still not fixed, and need to be remodeled as soon as possible.

Were not all of the P-38s updated ?

But yeah, more aircraft will be updated and or even overhauled over time, Developers will be aware (obviously) how old a number of models are

The PBYs were the most recent ones updated as you have recorded already, so more will be updated as time goes on

The only P-38 implemented in Birds of Steel is the P-38G, and as far as I know it has not yet remodeled.

If it were an il2, it would have been done by now but this one needs urgent remodeling &/or correcting:

I remember when the He 111 H’s were all remodeled but unfortunately they did a very bad job since they still remain incorrect:

C.202 and He 111 has been moved to “updated models”

The unfortunate thing about the B17 remodel is that while the textures were upgraded, the shape of tha plane remained the same and with that mistakes were carried through: 10/1/18 B-17 Main Windshield Shape Error - Documented Bug Reports - Windows - War Thunder - Official Forum

In the case of the B-17, unlike the case of the Marlin engine Spitfire and Me 163, the 3D model was not scratched, but literally just more polygons from old ones.

It seems that the Yak-3(e) to be implemented in the event has a different model from TT version Yak-3.
Its model is recycled from Yak-3(VK-103) but, still better than using normal one.

Yeah… seems regular Yak-3 and Yak-3P gets remodeled.
