yeah u forgot that this post was made to talk about how Su-30SM2 and other aircrafts must go to higher BRs
your right and wrong the R-77-1 is considered the second best WVR and top 3 BVR and gets 12 which makes it insane already its what made this thing worth being a 14.3 when only weakness was it wasnt good at any one trait with out trading something else. Now has the best radar in game, has the same acceleration and decent speed as the F15c GE which is not bad on its own, has a great FM with the engines at all speeds and has the best fox 1 and 2 in game still.
This is what balanced the SU30 before yes it would never have a winning fight against a equally skilled pilot in a rafale but that was because it was under tiered, it has a roughly 50% chance at fighting a EFT if we take every possible factor in the game and the new one simply outmatches its, and it finally equals or beats the RAFALE in some aspects.
to be fair they lack a singular aspect that the highest and considered best aircraft along side it the RWR coverage and MAWs this is true however
one negative aspect =/= only decent or average
just with mentioning the Irbis-E it already looks unfair for 14.3: u can crank while having an exceptional hard lock on ur target which u can even use with R-27ER since it’s very hard to fool the N035
I meant the EF and rafales aesa, those 14.3 which will go up in br. The SU30SM2 has overwhelmingly strong advantages in missile count and radar. The German eurofighter is even stuck on 90 degrees while the other ef get 100 degrees. Don’t forget the EF also has one of the worst missiles in this BR since BVR basically is dead. The Rafale has the MICA so we know they’re on top no matter what. The FM of course will be worse because its a flanker.

Ok if we’re getting in the technicals sure it’s not dead since there are idiots who don’t notch. But you get my point. Missiles that are good in close and mid range are the meta, and that includes most of the missiles except the aim120s.

i know, i never said it’s the worst plane just cuz it lacks LWS/MAW, but it really gets outperformed by things like Rafales/Eurofighters in the defense department (especially with that 98 CM).
The SM2 can notch in the perfect angle since it can fly away from the target while launching missiles past a 90 degree angle. Play the SM2 right and you don’t have to dump CM.
casually i carry 74 chaffs and in certain cases i sadly spend them all just to notch all missiles i can

Sadly I spam chaff too much since the EF gets so many, its a bad habit but it becomes muscle memory with how much to dump out with time. The F2 is what really honed my skills and why I play it more than the EF

he replied to this quote where you said USSR didn’t even have a decent jet so you kinda did even if not on purpose, I think we all mostly agree the NEW jets are under tiered where all discussing which out of the EFT, SU30SM2, and RAFALE are the best overall in the “CURRENT META” which is good missiles and WVR combat and good instantaneous turn and energy retention it has the best radar, second best missile and great energy retention unlike its predecessor with its new engines. so is best in 1 aspect second best in another in third in one and the rest all share that same ratio kinda implying their exact equals within game meta

yeah, i usually get very stressed with all that alerts in my RWR. if they don’t get out of my RWR, for me that missiles are still on their way to my big russian ass (except my RWR shows me that they’re passed from my side to my back cuz they lost the lock and are flying on IOG).

oh okay, so nooooooo, when they do that it means they lost lock went IOG and then eventually relocked you unless your talking about when they go pass to behind and then stop giving RWR warnings. to be fair your probs doing it right just how my brain processed how you said it.
Every top tier plane will have different FM, engines, CM, radar, and RWR, which I like as the appeal of grinding out each plane and gives them personality. Now what I don’t like is how Gaijin uses missiles as balancing. Just ruins everything.
