I really do find it funny how CAS apologists continue to make arguments pretending as if people who argue against CAS have never and do never play it.
Honestly it just feels like being gaslit.

How can you claim to be a knowledgeable player and yet not know how to avoid CAS or at least take steps to survive with it’s existence?
Every newbie steps out into the War Thunder world and is fodder for the experts and level 100 veterans with maxed crews and fully ground out lineups.Nothing fair about it.
Nobody started as an expert though did they? We all suffer to start with.
You could argue that top tier is unplayable or unbearable due to CAS and that is an opinion worthy of consideration as that is what the forum is about but good players take it on the chin and still get great scores so should they be punished? The game could easy sink to the lowest common denominator pretty quick.
Society walking at the pace of it’s slowest rather than allowing people to get good and have fun utilizing hard earned experience.Bad players ruining the game for the good ones and those trying to get good,it’s a common theme on the forum.

Look, it’s another post where someone is pretending as if people arguing against CAS have never played it.
I use CAS so I know that You can’t avoid a player who is using CAS and knows what he is doing.
You can’t avoid a player you didn’t see hitting you from the side.You just go boom.You then rage quit or restart.

Cool story but this still is irrelevant because you had the possibility to see them if not for your own mistake and to deal them since they are tied to the same ruleset as you.
Whereas you can see a plane several km into the sky and it does not matter whether or not you see him if he wants you to die and is capable.
How many Battle pass challenges are CAS related? The game is CAS related from top to bottom.WT is tanks and planes together.Maybe it doesn’t have to be but it is.I love shooting CAS down.

I’m going to mention the elephant in the room anyway.
Add a ground only game mode.
Those who want to go spin dicks in CAS and bomb and be bombed can keep playing the existing mode and those who want to be able to play tanks without getting hit by an orbital strike can do so and everybody is happy.
Inb4 queue time nonsense excuse.

So CAS is 100% percent effective and every single player gets who jumps in a plane gets multi kills every time? Wow that is a revelation.So why dont you do it? If CAS is such a certainty why are you not revelling in it? Its like you are bemoaning a lottery win lol

Never said that, people will always make mistakes but in your theoretical scenario where someone is capable of never making a mistake then yes. At the very least you can always ensure one kill in CAS by suicide bombing and that requires zero skill.
So why dont you do it?
Because as stated previously I generally do not play GROUND RB to play planes, I play AIR RB to play planes. I do not find bombing to be particularly fun because it is not engaging at all. Whenever I do play it I quickly get bored of it and if I play air I would much rather spend that time making CASoids cry at me in chat for camping their air spawn.
If CAS is such a certainty why are you not revelling in it? Its like you are bemoaning a lottery win lol
As above, also not everybody thinks it’s absolutely fantastic to have the game be a broken unbalanced mess. With the same logic from this statement we may as well remove all BRs and throw all vehicles in the same pool and then durr just play the F-16 or MiG-29 against the prop and revel in it! It’s good that it’s unbalanced yes?

In fairness Gaijin have always talked queue times reagering no CAS then they go and introduce a Night battle/No Night Battle option.So why not CAS/No CAS option?
WTF is a CASoid? War Thunder is what it is ,there is no political party in flying.

Something we can agree on. The fact that they’ve added this just further shows how much of a made-up fantasy excuse queue times are (even though it was already obvious given the playerbase increase).
The other elephant in the room is that CAS sells like hot cakes and GRB is CAScentric so splitting off the playerbase could throttle sales in the event that a lot of players migrate to only playing tank only.

Which is fair enough, it is designed to make as much money as possible afterall.
Would just be nice if they stopped lying through their teeth and just openly stated the honest reason though.
Then again that’s a lot to ask for given how things are with this game as evidenced by its history.

It’s a common debating mistake for somebody to say"that’s just your opinion" as an opinion given is often shared by many.There has always been a movement on here for those wanting a CAS free game and I was one of those a while ago.We do occasionally have CAS free games in GRB so they do work.We also have games where we are getting stomped and then every enemy dick jumped into CAS and we won,love that one.
The CAS no CAS argument is better settled by a No CAS option than by messing with CAS and risk ruining the game for so many.
