I, playing on drone, when get uptiered, and dont sure that i can play good as IFV, be like:
Limit CAS/Helicopters to 4 per match (at a single time), 2 for each team in Ground Realistic Battles
You do realize getting kills is contributing right??? Capture points are not the only way to win, you can also win by the enemy having no vehicles to spawn which believe it or not getting kills does that. Also getting kills reduces the enemy teams tickets aswell.
Also another note, getting kills helps with capturing points…
CAS is annoying, having bombs dropped on you is not fun but just play SPAA. My personal rule when playing is when I get killed by CAS I spawn SPAA or a plane of my own to clear the skies.
Light tanks are fine my guy, idk what you are complaining about but I get killed by CAS the same amount than if I was in a heavy or medium tank.

Kill 1-2 planes. J out, kill some more planes and tanks.
You wont find any ground vehicle in my account with K/D Higher than 1. Because 1 kill is enough to get into the air.
how tf is 1 kill enough to spawn plane, my A10 literally costs 1000sp and i need like 4kills for it

My suggestion isn’t as extreme as to have a tank only gamemode. I just want to make CAS/Helicopters have a smaller presence since it is ground battles.
Your solution works too but I don’t think mine is that extreme either. If there was a limit to how many air vehicles can be in a match at a given point, people would play ground more. I actually really like the system in arcade mode where you can play as an aircraft without having to J out. Maybe it can also be added to GRB.

It is best to avoid this yourself, respectfully (my own thoughts are mirrored in many of the replies so sorry for no further constructive input).
im almost 99% sure the people who complain the most about air are the same people who disregard researching aa because it’s “useless” or “not as good as tanks”, and are the same people who disregard researching soviet tank destroyers and then complain how they can’t pen anything.
If you are being killed by a plane then spawn aa and shoot it down, or spawn your own plane and kill them. It’s that easy. Kind of when you get killed by a maus you can’t pen, just spawn a tank destroyer.
Where did you get this from? Someone spawning a plane just because they’re a sour loser is a problem, but this can easily get mitigated by AA. And spawning a plane does help the objective, clearing out enemies and allowing your team to cap the point is… helpful? right?
Spawn AA, or a plane and clear the sky. After that, you can spawn your light tank if one or two helicopters with unguided rockets are too much at the start to deal with. Flanking on maps often offers more cover than going in the middle, use that to your advantage. (Why not use smokes to block the heli’s LOS?)
A great tactic is to stay stationary, taking cover or hiding in a bush/ under a tree. The only reason you’ll get pounded by air again and again is cause you’re playing recklessly, exposing your position and making you a prime target. I.e, try not making yourself stand out and a target, and you’ll have a much easier time. (and yes, u can help ur team by standing stationary holding down a position. Holding W and rushing in isn’t the only way to win)
That’s a bad change though. Allowing people to play recklessly and not care about positioning is simply going to make the game less skill dependent, and more just hold W and rush in. And I don’t see how participation is a problem for wt? The rewards for capturing a point are already so high that it’s more than worth it to risk it for the biscuit, i.e. participate in the battle, push, and capture points.
I also believe this would make a balance issue, counter CAS is great to take out sniper tanks that are holding down positions, as there’s no real other way to do it in this game. Nerfing CAS would only benefit people who decide to sit in one spot, hull down, and snipe the entire match, as one of the best ways to counter this playstyle has just been nerfed. (we all know how hard and annoying it can be to beat those types of players who get a fantastic flank, and as soon as you peek out they snipe you from behind a rock while having their weak spots hull-down. Buffing this playstyle would simply serve to worsen the game)
