I’m playing the worst plane at 9.7, the MiG-21 R13 300S. One good thing it has is speed, sure.
So explain to me how I’m going at my IAS limit, just above 1400 km/h, flying straight trying to escape a Lightning F.6 chasing me, and suddenly he goes up and down, up and down, and now he’s approaching me at 1800 km/h??? He closed the 3km gap in about 4 seconds. What?
500 to 1000m because we were over mountains. And so like I said he wasn’t even flying straight and kept going up and down despite being clear of any mountains
The Lightning is the faster aircraft, and you weren’t going that fast for the altutide you were at. I checked the replay and they used their great climb performance to then dive down on you.
You were going mach 1.16, while the lightning was going over mach 1.26.
You were going at most 1100kmh IAS, 265kmh lower than your limit.
Would need to see a replay, but I guess he climbed, regained speed (lightning maxs out quickly at low alt, but even a little alt would allow you to gain more speed) and then dove down onto you. But I’d have to see the replay to say what actually happened for certain.
As for what to do in that situation, just turn and fight. You should win every single time
