I think many light tanks in AB have too much BR.
Lots of light tanks don’t have especially good weaponry, and aren’t particularly fast.
Some tanks, like TAM or BMP-1 (due to AB indirect firing), have higher BR, I understand. But something like M41, AMX-13, really? These tanks are just getting laughed at, in AB.
Also included in “should have lower BR” are lightly armored TDs like ASU series.
My man. Light tanks are not meant for frontally engaging the enemies.
Though I will agree the first AMX-13 being 4.3 while the Chaffee sits at 3.7 and is all around a better tank is utter bollocks.
dont forget the amx13-m24 is also 3.7 so gaijin thinks specifically the turret of the amx13 is worth 2 br steps

You’re kind of right about French tanks - not just light tanks. They tend to generally have a somewhat higher BR than they are actually entitled to. This is because people who play the French Tech Tree are primarily really skilled players, and this is reflected in the BR.
Light tanks with auto cannons are usually not very good in Arcade as it can be a challenge to get side shots, but apart from that I think the BR fits most light tanks very well.
The M41 is a great tank and even handles being uptiered just fine.

Nah not the M41 If we lower it down it gonna be the lowest tier with APFSDS, Thermal Imager, Laser Rangefinder and a Scout UAV.
