Level 100 players on low BR

There is this thing that people do called learning, maybe you should give that a try instead of begging for Gaijin to handhold you.

Yeah, of course, that’s the very foundation of training, lol. Training with better players to gain knowledge.

But I’m sure when that happens to you, you just rage and don’t look any further, so you stay bad. Whereas if you used your brain to learn from your mistakes and capitalize on your defeats, you’d watch the replay, for example, to understand how such a situation arose.

You need to work on your situational awareness. For example, maybe someone got spawn-killed just before and you didn’t see it, but you spawned anyway?

How do you play yourself? Do you give information, ping enemies, help allies, try to learn the maps, vehicles, weak spots?

Or do you just rage while waiting for everything to fall into your lap?

Yup. You don’t get better by surrounding yourself with nublets. Another reason it’s good to see experienced players welcoming new players to the game at low-tier.

Well if they’re starting a new nation I’m OK with it, at least if you level 100 and doing low tier for fun, don’t bring full line up, and give the newbie a chances.

And level based matchmaking in warthunder will not work, in some server mainly (SA) it took 1-2 minutes to get a match

I’m not for level based matchmaking, but I really don’t see waiting 1-2 minutes for a battle as a hardship.

Some people seem to not realize that if you are an average/below average player that any system like this would probably make their games worse. In many games, there are a few players who are well below average in skill, and with a system like this then people who struggle a bit in the current set up wont get those easy kills like they do now.
I will maintain my opinion that the current system is perfectly fine as it is. Some games will have very good players, others will have many poor players. I used to be much worse at this game than i am now, because i learned better tactics over time. I feel like i would have learned less with some kind of skill based matchmaker.

All I’m saying is it could be worse

Recently I have noticed many veterans playing only battle ratings 5.7-7.3 and none at a higher rank. Why are they not playing 8.0 or other ranks it’s so annoying versing veterans every battle. I’ve also noticed that veterans at said brs are only playing the panther ii and tiger ii 105, not even the flakpanzer 341, why are they only using those can’t they use their more modern stuff before top tier.

Because higher ranks are genuinely not fun, bad teams (largely thanks to premiums), unbalanced vehicles and maps not designed with the vehicles in mind have made it completely unfun to play higher brs for many older players

So then they just suck going against their skill level

No, top tier is just not fun.

Neither are other tiers which are dominated by bs vehicles such as 35mm autocannons at 8.3-8.7 and low level premium players completely ruining teams at 10.3+

I never said they suck going against their skill level, they are playing a game. They shouldn’t be forced to play a certain br or rank purely because of their level.

Heres an example, I’m fully uptiered in a plane that already struggles a lot in its own br with multiple players on my team using the most broken, overpowered premium aircraft in the game (Su-30MKK/MK2) yet I have more kills than them.

I was the last player left alive forced to fight a 1v3/5 in a plane that again, already struggles at its own br.

This is the kind of thing you see at higher tiers as a skilled player, it’s genuinely not fun trying to win in these scenarios while watching people be completely handheld and do significantly worse than you.

Ground RB is not spared from this either.

Top tier is a disaster. Broken vehicles, poorly designed maps and much too small maps for advanced vehicles and then more than half of your teammates ODL. Spawn camping is also worse in the high tiers.

Was playing yesterday and there was nobody playing the two top tiers. First time I’ve ever seen that before.

The low to mid tiers are where the fun is so that’s where I’m playing.

I mean there are some goated lineups in that range like 5.7 US, 6.3 US, 6.7 Germany and 7.0 US (my personal SL lineup) for example.

I’m a level 100 player and I play high tier most of the time as that is what I enjoy the most, however when I want to chill/relax or grind SL I will hop down to 5.7 or 7.0 US. There are iconic/really fun tanks there and they are easy to play/do well in.

Because 8.0 is just a horrible BR.

this but i typically just go down to play the Shermans/M3 Lee for RB, its just a lot more enjoyable with it being i dare say more balanced even with CAS

It’s a game, a game is designed to let you play freely. a game is designed to be ‘fun’ if they like lower brs more, then so be it, cry.

Ran into this guy during yesterday’s TSS.

Probably a smurf.
Still an excellent demonstration of player level not mattering.

Translating for emphasis: Level 16 guy got top 1 position

I also got asked if I’m a twink myself because…

They conceded?

Because many of us play for WW2 not for cold war or missile thunder.

I almost exclusively fly BRs 3.3-5.7 myself. Rarely I fly something outside that range, but the bulk of my 400 hours in the cockpit were with Bf 109 F-4 (4.0), F4U-4 (5.3) and P-51C/P-51/Mustang Mk Ia (4.0) and G.55 sotto 0 (4.3).

Mathematically wont really work, K/D in a games’ total is likely infinitely closer to 1, so a 0.5KD player in a 0.5KD game will have a 1KD, so does a 4KD sweat in a game with other sweats. Plus vehicle performance difference is a thing, the same player would have a higher KD in a T58/BMPT than a leo2A4

The overall average K/D in war thunder GRB is someyhing like 0.7 according to statshark.

statshark cannot record ALL the players tho, but its definitely less than 1 cuz of the disconnections, suicide bombers, etc

ss pulls the statistics from the game itself. It most likely isn’t missing much
