As soon as you get to the 3.7 you will start meeting russian spammers, thats was actually doable as there were not too many of them on KV-1s. With 4.7 you got to the T-34-85 territory so you started meeting them, Jumbo Shermans and King Cobras all while getting blasted from the air with plane spammers. As you get to 5.7 you reach T-XX wankers, mostly because germany doesnt have better CAS you have to go for 6.0 which brings you to T-29, T-30, T-34 spammers. After reaching 6.7 you actually start to enjoy yourself a little with Tiger 2 just to meet the french wankers again at 7.7 with autoloaders. These are never a new guys, thats always some dude having at least 3-4 of them ready to whack you. You think you escaped them at 8.0, but theres shit to play on 8.0 so you have to jump to 8.3 if you want to have AAA or get removed from a map by airplane. There you will start to meet the stabilized everything guys with 9.0-9.3 , what else to say ? I dont think Im that bad of a player, I mostly end up at first 5 spots anyway but this is still lot of unnecessary suffering to just try to level up. Mostly when full crew gives you 50% advantage to half of your tanks stats, you repair faster, turn faster, reload faster. So its not just LVL 100 players that Im anxious about. Its the combination of everything that they bring with themselves when you meet them.
I dont know about you mate, but its every game for me, its not occasionaly. I dont remember a single game for past 2 months where there would be no lvl 100.
Everyone was a newb once, but also still a reminder
You’re not my supervisor
if i’m playing with lower level friends i’ll drop to their br
what if i want to spade my lower level tanks
I’m not allowed to start a new nation ?
Rankings mean nothing outside of a number many people reach lvl 100 before they’ve even gained top tier vehicles some gain top tier vehicles before they’ve even made lvl100 I have a friend i’ve been helping with his game who’s played nothing but germany for 6 months and now owns the entire german ground tech tree and he’s only level 65
If low level players can buy into top tier and mess with experienced players games by being as useful as a wet paper towel and then just leaving when their insert (Clickbait type premium vehicle or equivalent) explodes then i have every right to mess up low tiers games by being good - the worlds a rough place
We all have similar experiences regardless of experience or level.
Just keep playing your vehicles efficiently dont worry about other players vehicles etc, you can only do what you can do - like all of us.
There is not a point in the game where no given person gets uptiered or not matched against experienced players.
Same for all of us.
What you are experiencing is not the result of high ranking players.
ALWAYS expect a br spread in any given vehicle or match.
For example I dont like to play 6.3, may aswell play 6.7 because that is what I am likely to get.
When I put a lineup together I am thinking whether I want to carry and be meta etc or do I want to play random things? Am I trying to spade a vehicle? Am I trying to be better in vehicles I am less efficient in?
There are many variables so just concentrate on what you want to do or achieve and you will be ok in time.
level 100 does not always mean a good player btw nor does it mean they have a good lineup or spaded vehicles or experience in the vehicle.
I don’t know, I’ve been playing 7.0 Germany recently for the most part. My last foray into the very low tiers was two-three weeks ago, where I was spading the Soviet, British, and Swedish ground 1.0 lineups. I plan to spade all ground trees bar Israel until at least 6.7, so I periodically go low for a bit, but the area of the game I actually enjoy is 3.7 - 7.7.
Personally I didn’t notice anything especially obnoxious in those matches except for one guy I met on Advance To The Rhine who is clearly a professional sealclubber. His most played vehicle in the game, by a very large margin, is a fully bushed up M2A4. I’m talking quadruple digit matches in it. Every other match looked fairly normal to me.
“Level 100” doesn’t really mean anything. You get levels simply with time. You could have played air only for a long time and be trying ground for the first time, and you’d be a level 100 with less ground skill and experience than a level 30 who’s only done ground.
Much more important is the player’s stats and service record, and whether they’re spading a tree for the first time or not.
My personal “rule” is that I only play below 3.0 if I have an external reason to do it (spading a vehicle/lineup or something like that, helping a noob friend learn the ropes) or if it has been a really long time and I feel like dusting off an older lineup for a handful of matches before I return to my usual stomping grounds. Additionally I never put bushes on vehicles lower than 3.7 BR.
While the problem exists, I don’t think it’s as bad as you make it out to be tbh.
After a several battles, when I fully feel “Gaijin balance” - I’m going down to the reserve tanks and enjoying the game.
No “zero IQ” players, who picks Gepards or same vehicles and use them like tank destroyers
No “one spawn” players, battles are long and intense
No garbage maps like “Fields of Poland” and others “fields of fields” where you play a driver simulator
No “Gaijin balance” with treir broken matchmaker. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing against +1BR or not, you’re ± in the same conditions
I’m not 100lvl, but played a lot on my PC account and reached high tier tanks, anyway, yes, it’s not fair to new players, but nothing in this game is fair to players.
Pretty sure I have already posted in this discussion, but as a further point there are far far more serious problems with the game then a handful of very good players being a bit lazy or having to improve their K/D ratios before they are kicked from their squad.
Imbalance in the game is a big problem from the lazy BR and level balance of the vehicles to crew skills and modifications, some of these have no bearing on the matchmaking but have a dramatic effect on performance, coupled with the cheating and RNG in the game it is as I have stated before a horrible unbalanced gaming experience which deserves to be laughed and sneered at rather than lauded and supported.
Yeah, some Tech trees are goofy. It really was/is frustrating trying to improve the crews.
It’s not like you can drop down to a lower rank and fight some easier battles. There’s nothing to drop down to.
Kinda like the UK Tech tree is frustrating. You either have paper-mache light tanks that can go fast. Or… slow tanks. My gawd even the mediums like the Centurions are so damned slow. MK 10 best speed is 35km/hr? Even in Arcade it can’t break 40km/hr.
Welcome, i don’t think it’s fair to drag people or even friends up to a br they’re not ready for there’s no fun in it for them and i’ve already played through most of what they’re playing, i also have a lot of tanks left to spade…
Well, the argument is that there’s a big power discrepancy between low-lvl quickly jumping up vs high-lvl dropping down.
Mostly in experience (map knowledge, etc) and crews. The aced crews can have a big impact in low lvl battles, especially on tanks that have a wide range in specs like reload.
I’m not suggesting high lvl should not be able to drop down. But I think a restricting of crew lvl on the dropdown might be a good idea.
While I am all for getting rid of crew skills outright and introducing realistic crew physiology instead –
How do you define “dropping down?” Will a F6F-5 (3.7 in SB, 3.3 in RB) be restricted to noob non-expert crew in your world or is the Hellcat of sufficient BR to enjoy its full capabilities in Warthunder’s modelling?
What about P-39N (2.7 in RB, 3.0 in SB)?
C202 (3.0 in RB, 2.3 in SB)?
The list can go on for aircraft I see people play regularly at my chosen BR range (3.0-4.7) for ASB EC.
What about if you intentionally uptier a given aircraft either due to additional challenge, beliefs about appropriate BRs (“I think P-39 should be 4.3. Therefore, I play on days where the brackets include 4.3-5.3”), self-imposed historical BRs or just… “There’s nobody playing 2.3-3.3 and I wanna fly my C202 so I’ll uptier myself to 3.7-4.7”?
