Level 100 players on low BR

Most of us as 100 level players are playing low BR to earning skins and certain merits that only show up on low BR maps.

They shouldn’t hang out at like BR 1.0-2.7 or whatever. But I’m not sure what you mean by “low BR”

Early tier IIIs for battlepasses at like 4.0 ish is where a ton of people permanently play because it’s not brand new players, it qualifies for all events and stuff, and high tiers are horrible and not fun. 5.0, 6.0 is fine too, 6.0-6.3 is starting to get pretty bad with jets CAS even in arcade. As well as just being “the same thing as BR 4-5 but everything is bigger and slower versinos of themselves” (yawn).

I guess screw everyone whose favorite tank is Pz-4E…

You’re screwing over way more people by main-ing the Pz IVE than you are getting screwed over by not playing it.

Also there’s a million other HE/HEAT slingers in the game at higher BRs anyway. Just play a Brummbar or a PT76 or something, you’re not fooling anyone with this nonsense. Even a Pz III-N or a StuH although a bit low, is much higher than a Pz IVE and basically the same experience as a IV E and a stug IIIA respectively.

That said, I do still play full on seal club BRs specifically while grinding short term events though. But I also acknowledge I’m a bad person for it.

No one is screwing anyone over.
The vast majority of players, well over 80%, that are playing low-BR’s are not seal clubbing.
They’re just enjoying their favorite tanks.

If you’re clubbing baby seals, you’re seal clubbing. The term does not imply anything about motivation or intent, just factual description. You can be a veteran player and play with baby seals without clubbing, but only if you’re really bad at the game and thus losing to the baby seals and thus not clubbing them.

Alternatively, you can be a prett good player but play things like the FCM pyramid head tank and also lose to the baby seals despite being good at the game. Because pyramid head.

Doesn’t take long to get to 100 and to be honest being level 100 doesnt mean much other than time. There are a LOT of bad 100 players.

At the end of the day, you start at the bottom when playing a new tree.

Good thing that’s not what I nor most players are doing.
Accusing people of disgusting behavior is obviously trolling.
We get it, you want reactions.

You have a less than or near 1.0 KD at BR 2.0?

No, and having that would be rather bad based on a 50% win rate.
A minimum of 50% of matches should have at least 1 tank surviving.
So you should always have above 1:1 unless you’re bad.

We get it, you’re trying to troll all War Thunder players that like having fun & never seal club.

I know, I’m asking if you perform badly at BR 2.0. Not to judge you, but to establish whether or not the average players at those BRs are weak enough vs your skill level to be functionally baby seals.

& never seal club.

I literally just said that I seal club during events

I perform functionally identically at all BRs for heavy & medium tanks.
My highest KDR is at 8.7 with Sea Vixen.
Object 279 shares the same KDR as M4A2 & KV-1E.

BTW, just because YOU seal club doesn’t mean others do.

So yes, obviously 8.7 KD means the other players at BR 2.0 are functionally flopping around helpless seals.

The fact that it is at 2.0 and these are specifically new players we are discussing (not other level 100s) is what makes them furthermore “BABY” seals

So you are baby seal clubbing. Doesn’t matter what the motivation is, there are baby seals. They’re getting clubbed. So it’s baby seal clubbing. Same as how in real life, someone can say “I’m clubbing these baby seals because it’s necessary for population control. Or to feed my family” etc. etc. and maybe they are right. But they still ARE objectively baby seal clubbers.

BTW, just because YOU seal club doesn’t mean others do.

Of course. Lots of people don’t. But YOU do, if your favorite tank is the Pz IVE. (It is implied of course that you play it regularly, not just sit around enjoying the concept of it, lol)

No, I’m not seal clubbing. I never have and never will.
You’re just going to keep provoking which is depressing.

Stating obvious objective facts is not “provoking” to anyone with a level head on their shoulders. Only people with short fuses or who are in denial. There are baby seals at 2.0. You are clubbing them whenever you play the Pz IVE with a KD of 8. There is literally no room for negotiation.

Anyway, as for the original topic: Gaijin cannot introduce skill based matchmaking or anything like that overall, because it would make queue times skyrocket to ridiculous levels.

But I do think they can draw some sort of low BR cutoff, and below that, anyone can still click “To Battle” if they want, but you just can’t get matched with anyone more than like 30 levels difference than you or so. We can play fun low BR tanks but without unnecessarily chasing off important new players the game needs to stay healthy and for us to play against later. Also still allows veterans to grind a new nation.

Then after a brief protection zone of very low BR, when people are accustomed to the game and know what’s up, get rid of that and have it like now.

Gaijin seems to for some reason like to do broad cutoffs on TIER, not on BR, so I guess just “Tier 1” would be that “zone”

you watch the youtubers in addition to playing, so you learn both/all…

I have friends who are lower level than me and only up to rank 3 tanks for example. Of course I would like to play with them in a downtier vice by myself all the time.
