The leclerc hull has less armor though. But is a bit more mobile and doesnt have the annoying hump (and no sideways limitations to gun depression) to such an extent as the leopard does.
If you play france at top tier and want to play a tank with at least turret armor you can play the leo 2a6.
You know, the straight up downgrade of the leo 2a7.
Considering tanks you really might not have it as bad as you think…
France gets a goated heli though, thats all…
EF Typhoon? Though admittedly maybe not as easy to use as the russian cas, which obviously need to have the best imaginary loadouts possible in the hands of someone that knows what hes doing a well flown ef can be multiple times as deadly as a su30…as long as the pilot doesnt get shot down. Through sheer volume of ordinance.

Is the H145M really that much more agile? Ofc the test drive is not spaded but i really dont feel a noticable difference. But yeah the countermeasure count is quite nice.
Super funny how they flip flop regarding that rule. I still remember at the start of the year when they said Germany wouldnt get an F35, because it wasnt delivered.

If you play top tier France there is legit 0 reason to even crew the EMBT, but that is off topic.
At least for Germany it still offers the better reload as a reason to play it.

It won’t. The EMBT is simply a worse Leclerc, it adds absolutely nothing useful while having significant downgrades over the Leclerc.
The EMBT adds more for Germany than for France.

1 sec better reload to shoot the notoriously unreliable OFL f1…thats so rarely useful that the tradeoff might only be useful if you get to move that round into a good flanking position. Which is debatably harder to pull off with the less mobile leo chassis than the leclercs…But yeah i think its nitpicking, i also dont really get what this tank model should add to any of the two nations…
The hull is not the main problem for the Leclercs (though the tank getting kod by two rounds through the paper thin lfp by a bmpts 30 cal is hilarious), its the turret front armor, combined with bad gun depression, only two smoke pops and very unreliable round. Thats all linked to the turret (as long as the snail doesnt want to give it rounds it could potentially use through nato doctrine interchangeability :–> funny how for the already very good swedish strvs thats no problem and they get dm53, that wasnt really needed at all…nice if you play them ofc, but for the leclerc’s situation i find it hilarious) and no matter what hull you slap underneath that the problems stay.

It’s such a double edged sword. I think it’s amazing when they try to be transparant with stuff and decisions, but it gets really akward when they just flip-flop every other day it feels.

It adds a spall liner so you get to watch the enemy tank reload after the first shot that will unequivocally take out every single one of your oversized electronics, drives and FCS before he finishes you.
The only consistent thing about Gaijin is that they are inconsistent nowadays.

And the 2A8 is produced already.
It’s not a planet sized leap to predict/assume that the nation that is currently integrating most of it’s armored forces into the German army would have an identical version of the tank that Germany is ordering.
Hell, we even simply tagged along with the German order.
Im fully confident that “Consistently inconsistent” is their secret motto

If they decide to add the 2A8NL at the same time as the German 2A8 even though it was not delivered yet, there is not much you can do since it’s their game.
